Why the fuck can't she get a boat from cardiff to dublin? To get to Dingle in Kerry you have to fucking sail past Dublin.

I don't think you're being fair Bríd. Im pretty sure they are aware that Ireland is not the backwards ass shit hole the film makes it out to be. It's possible you misinterpreted irony or sarcasm for sincerity.

Our premise was, that was how the MOVIE inaccurately portrayed the Irish and we complained at length about the stereotyping. Are you SURE you listened to the review?

I think I did and what I heard was that you get the impression that Irish people are "hicks" because some idiot decided to make a movie about a woman who goes to Ireland and prpose to her boyfriend after hearing about some tradition the Irish themselves don't even care about. If you want to see some films that show what Ireland is really like watch "32A", "The Snapper" and "The Commitments". These are Irish films about Irish people MADE by Irish people WITHOUT clichés. Wheew - Rant over.

There is nothing wrong with the Irish! Yeah sure they have a bad temper but there is nothing wrong with them, this movie on the other hand is an epic peice of dog shit in our cereal bowl's. She got a crap ton of diamonds & she wanted a ring! What a big bag of a bitch! If I was Irish & she yelled at me I would fuck'n bitch slap her & tell her to grow up! I say fuck the premise, fuck the story & fuck this movie!

wow, i just got back fro being th third wheel on a date for this movie, so i pretty much i had the choice of watcin my friends make out or watch this movie, and it sucked big time. i have a friggen migrain man. and this movie stereotypically douches the irish
