If it's crap... We'll tell you

Source: The Hollywood Reporter

The Hollywood Reporter says that Julian McMahon, Ernest Borgnine, Richard Dreyfuss and Brian Cox are in negotiations to join the cast of Red.

Red, which is set to be directed by Robert Schwentke, tells the tale of a former black ops agent (Bruce Willis), now in retirement, who has to contend with younger, more high-tech assassins who show up to kill him.

McMahon would play a Vice President with a dark side who is at the center of a shadow conspiracy. Borgnine will play the keeper of the CIA’s darkest records, while Dreyfuss will be a wealthy man who builds a fortune out of lucrative government contracts. Cox is a former Cold War spy and nemesis of Willis.

The actors join a cast that includes Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John C. Reilly and Mary Louise Parker.

Jeez, Ernest Borgnine must be about 110 years old by now...

This sounds cool. Forgive me, but I didn't think Ernest Borgnine was still alive.

@ David: Brian Cox was totally in a movie called Red, I'm thinking it came out not even a year ago!! What is this madness?? How about Jared Leto starring in an espionage/ thriller with Bruce Willis called Requiem for a Dream hahahahaha

Wasn't Brian Cox already in a movie called Red?

Whoa. The comic book had one main character and like three supporting characters at most. They really change the plot.

and it sounds like this will be about as much like the comic as Wanted the movie was about the comic. Still sounds like it could be good but I'm begining to worry a bit
