There's a new Viral Quentin Tarantino video floating around out there in the ether, this one particularly interesting. Quentin made a list of his top 20 films that were released since the release of this first film in 1992. It's a doozy of a list and indicative of Quentin's taste. While it is no secret that I am a HUGE Tarantino fan, he and I very much differ on what we love in our movies. There are a number of movies on this list that I don't just dislike, but actively loathe. Then there are others that I feel are very overrated. That's not to say I don't love a huge chunk of his list - but it bears very little relation to my own - with only a few crossover films. Here's Quentin's list.
Interesting enough for me, I graduated High School around this time, and this is when my film education and exploration really began - so this is a powerful enough notion to get me to make a full on list. Much like Quentin, I have chosen a BEST film and followed it up with 19 films in no particular order.
THE BEST: The Shawshank Redemption. Honestly Quentin - where the fuck was that on your list?
Fight Club
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
Leon: The Professional
The Matrix
There Will Be Blood
The Dark Knight
Let the Right One In
Oldboy
Boogie Nights
Eve’s Bayou
Man on Fire
Iron Giant
LA Confidential
The Crow
Lord of the Rings
Gladiator
Love Actually
Kingdom of Heaven (Directors Cut)
So gang - what did we miss? What movies have you howling at their omission? What would your list of this time period look like?

I really enjoyed Fear and Loathing in las vegas,28 days later, bubba ho tep, the big lebowski, half baked, boondock saints. Thats just a few i could think of that could be on that list.
Tombstone, Leaving Las Vegas and Trainspotting come to mind. The morals of these movies being:
1) Don't drink too much (Advice I tend to ignore)
2) If you have the opportunity to have sex with Eliasbeth Shue by all means have sex with Elisabeth Shue.
3) Don't shoot smack. (Always a good policy)
4) Don't F... with Doc Holliday! (He will just shoot you in the head and talk S... to you while you die)
