First Official Image From 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For'

Robert Rodriguez is currently hard at work finishing up 'Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For,' shooting here in Austin, Texas. As has been reported, the chronology of the new storyline is such that Josh Brolin is able to play the same character, Dwight, as did Clive Owen in the first film; facial reconstruction being a key plot point. Recently, Rodriguez tweeted a pair of rather interesting photos from the set. The first shows Brolin behind the wheel of, well it will be a car after post-production, but on the set it was literally just a wheel. Rodriguez then took that photo and personally touched it up to give the actors an idea of what the final product would look like. He tweeted that photo right after for comparison sake. Rodriguez stresses that there may be a few changes made to the final image, but it gives us a good idea of what Brolin will look like when plunged into the highly stylized world inspired by Frank Miller's graphic novels. Take a look at the images below and let us know what you think.

The original version of Dwight was completely bald. Honestly, Brolin looks too much like Marv here.

Shadowneverdies, ever think your opinion might not be the only factor, because there's plenty of films from him I like just as much if not better than sin for different reasons(Dusk till dawn, Planet Terror, Desperado).

Sin City is Rodriguez's best film, I expect this one to be just as good or close based on everything that I've been shown thus far. The thing that frustrates me about Rodriguez is he himself doesn't seem to get what he does best. And I actually liked Planet Terror, I thought it was leagues better than Death Proof anyhow. I thought him cutting out the whole second act of the film was hilarious and genius.

Reminded me of Mel Gibson for some reason.

@ Ha-Ra

They've been filming for a while now, its just because of the way Rodriguez does Sin City, he filmed most people's scenes separatly and sometimes by themselves (Jaimie King was the first to film her scenes around September, and did all her scenes acting without anybody). It's the same thing they did for the first one.
