New Stills From 'Iron Man 3,' 'Man of Steel,' & 'The Wolverine'

On this glorious Friday, we thought we'd give you a little bonus to send you off into your weekend. We have for you not one, not two, but three new images each from a different 2013 superhero blockbuster. First, Hugh Jackman strikes an angry pose in James Mangold's 'The Wolverine.' Next, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) gives Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) a bear hug in Shane Black's 'Iron Man 3.' And finally, Superman (Henry Cavill) is in hot water with the authorities in the latest image from Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel.' Sure, there is nothing revolutionary about the stills, and no new insights into their respective movies can be gleaned from them, but they do serve as fitting reminders of just how massive the summer of 2013 will be. Color me stoked. Take a look at the images below and let us know what you thin.

'Iron Man 3' hits theaters May 3rd; 'Man of Steel' on June 14th; 'The Wolverine' on July 26th

I'm hoping that Man of Steel won't suck mainly because I like the actor Henry Cavill who seems to have a positive attitude overall.

When they stop making money, which I don't think is anytime soon.

Pfff I wonder when this silly superhero trend is going to die down.

Dr. Manhattan's appearance either in the graphic novel or the film don't scream "regular guy" to me.

but the difference is in the subtle details, for example, the writer and artist of the comic book made Dr Manhattan look like a regular guy when naked so he looked like an ordinary man given great power, Snyder made him look like a body builder.

Uh-huh.

@ShadowNeverDies
OK, one thing at a time, I'm a big believer in karma (the spiritual concept not the pornstar) and I can't wish for a person I don't like to fail as that would bring me bad karma, but I can sit back and watch them screw up.

That said, there is a world of difference between shooing a good sequence of visual effects and shooting footage to tell a story. Snyder is a very competent visual effects cinematographer but he cannot tell a story to save his life. His Watchmen movie looks exactly like the comic, but the difference is in the subtle details, for example, the writer and artist of the comic book made Dr Manhattan look like a regular guy when naked so he looked like an ordinary man given great power, Snyder made him look like a body builder.

Writing is one skill, but a part of directing and also acting is to know how to interpret what's written on the page and a lot of the times I'm sitting there wondering why Snyder made the choices he made!
