Tito, do you really think black people don't want to see other black people do anything but play ball or rap? Do you not realize how stupid that sounds? It never fails to amaze me how people will attribute the most backwards retarded accusations to black people as a group. From the people who claim that black people think going to school is acting white to the retards who claim that there is this no snitch policy that permeates the black community. I find that black people are easy targets for stereotypes and you can say the most outrageous sh&t about black people and most folks will believe it. Apparently, all you have to do is find two black people saying something on youtube and as long as it is negative and unflattering, people just attribute it to all black folks as a 'black belief'. Exibit A: remember how many right wing racists went off saying that black people voted for obama because he was going to pay for their cell phones and gas? this was actually something said by one woman on a viral youtube video but , of course, it must be a wide spread black belief.

I remember cohost said once that he noticed how black people are quick to get racist with each other and i almost jumped out of my chair and yelled 'PREACH COHOST PREACH!!

cause he is absolutely CORRECT. I think black folks have been conditioned over the decades and centuries to assume the worst about their own group and assume the best about the 'other' group. After all, it was the former master that would write on and on about 'black pathology' and how it pertained to slaves wanting to run away or slaves being lazy etc.

Yeah some black folks just have a problem with seeing other black people hang around other white folks and "sounding white" when they talk.those lame black folks just want to see other blacks do the usual stereotypical sh*t like dribble a ball or be a rapper. Its pretty much the reason why you probably won't see a black mark zuckerberg or etc. To many of those hood black Folks trying to keep a brother from stepping outside the box.

I want to start a topic relating to how some black people think that when other black people say that they sound white, they assume that those black people say it because they 'speak well'. Damn, I can't tell you how I hate when black people claim that black folks say they sound white because 'they speak well'.

Here's what I have to say about that; some black people say that other blacks sound white based on how they over enunciate and use words that they are not comfortable with and possess  a certain nasal tone of  voice, not because they 'speak well'. Think about it, Malcolm x, Martin King , Cornell West and many others speak very well but nobody mistakes their voices and the way they talk as white.

I have heard many whites speak poorly and still sound white and I have heard plenty of blacks speak well and still sound black so it often irritates me when certain black folks accuse 'the black community' of having an ignorant view of the way they speak.

What do you guys have to say on this subject?

This Houstonians vote for the pub crawl is either Washington (not that great parking) or White Oak (Not really "downtown" but easy parking and low key feel). I would vote against Midtown or downtown soley on Parking is a bitch.
