One of the greatest things about living in Austin, Texas is my proximity to Mondo. This incredible company, that began life as a tee-shirt shop attached to the Alamo Drafthouse, collaborates with outstanding artists to create some of the most unique and sought-after movie posters available. One of their most celebrated collaborators is Olly Moss, and today Mondo revealed his new poster for 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy. I love the blending of Barad-dûr with one of the shards of Narsil. The green-colored poster is the regular version, but there is also an orange-tinted variant; selling for $50 and &90 respectively. If you want to try and secure yourself one of these fantastic prints, check Mondo's Twitter account for the random post time tomorrow. For now, the exact sale time is being kept secret, kept safe.

D, run size has a lot to do with it. There are a lot more of the green ones than the orange ones. 580 green vs. 285 orange. I'm going to be one of the people refreshing Mondo's page tomorrow to try and make the drop. It'll probably end with me swearing and crying.

Bit too expensive, if they sold smaller posters of these than I would definitely snap one up.  But yeah, wow...... they look just stunning.

If they were to make a criterion edition of these movies (won't happen), this would be the perfect cover art :)

Not sure if ($40) difference between two identical images with a simple color color change is enough to make me spend $90 vs $50.

Wow... Looks cool, but why the high price though?
