I really dug the first trailer for Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel,' but, true to the nature of a teaser, it gave us very little to go on in terms of story. All we could really say from looking at that teaser trailer is that Clark Kent...worked on a fishing boat for a while. That's what makes this new poster for the film so fantastic. It clearly shows Superman (Henry Cavill) in the custody of the police. Now considering he could break those meager steel cuffs whenever he pleased, one has to assume this a voluntary surrender. Either that, or there is kryptonite involved, but as he doesn't look to be in pain, I'm ruling that out. Something quite drastic must have happened to turn the authorities against Superman, and I can't wait to see what that is. Take a look at the poster below and let us know what you think.

'Man of Steel' hits theaters June 14th, 2013

I liked the first poster, but I love this one! It kind of reminds me of the broken Batman mask/Bane poster for the Dark Knight Rises. Simple, but intriguing.

@newguy
Superman may have surrendered after Zod publicly annouced his verison of kyprtonian intentions for earth. Basically, supes wants to show some good faith
@keh006
His face his grainy, which is partially telling as its not about the man but what he represents, which the clear as day red and blues show.

Yes, because when I think of the entire point of Superman, this is what I think of (why is there no sarcastic font?)

Hm...I am actually becoming more intrigued with this project the more details I find out. The image is a bit blurry, but it is just so striking overall that I do not mind. The one thing I hope for is that whatever they do, they manage to actually give Superman some problem that he can't just easily solve with a punch or super strength. As the LEOG members have said, Superman works best when he is more of a symbol to his idealism rather than just some regular superhero. He may be the greatest hero ever, but even great heroes have their non-Kryptonite weaknesses.

 I'm actually really digging this.  Finally a unique take on the man of steel.  I'm guessing this story will have something to do with the question of superman's justice vs. the laws of a government or something like that.  Does he break the law for the greater good? And what does he do if someone tries to arrest him? That kind of thing.

Quick question: Why doesn't Superman just break the cuffs?

Even Superman can't run from child support.

This poster could've been better if Superman himself wasn't so grainy, everything else around him in the shadows with the illuminating light behind I like. He's the light that guide the people, but he should be clear to bring more focus.

Since Superman is going to be appearing for the first time it makes sense people would freak that such a superhuman being exists. He's getting arrested because they think he's connected to Zod but being in handcuffs shows hes no threat.
