If it's crap ... We'll tell you

Leo Alexander posted a statusA lot has happened with Bryan Singer's 'Jack the Giant Slayer' since its first trailer. First its release date was bumped from this past summer to spring of 2013, and then it saw its title changed from 'Jack the Giant Killer.' Now that all of that is settled, a much longer and more revealing trailer has landed. The universe Singer has built for this story is suitably grandiose, but that is as far as my interest in this film extends. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about the movie just feels flat and unappealing. And if I see that "you think you know the story" tagline used one more time, I'm going to scream. But hey, that's just this schmuck's opinion. Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Comment by niall evans on November 21, 2012 at 5:26pm Bad cgi bad costumes yes it has ian mc shane but that is not enough to get me to see this if its anything like snow white and the huntsman count me out even more so
Comment by Richard Dempsey on November 21, 2012 at 5:18pm Snow White and the Huntsmen all over again.
Comment by Amazing Pinto on November 21, 2012 at 4:40pm I couldn't care less. Are they making an Avengers movie with fairy tale characters? "Snow White and the Huntsman" had Thor, "Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters" has Hawkeye, now this one has young Beast?! Is there some sort of Marvel conspiracy no one told me about?

Comment by Ares on November 21, 2012 at 2:59pm Maybe...
Comment by Joseph E T Hughes on November 21, 2012 at 2:34pm Yeah, not feeling it. I like Ewan MacGregor, but that's not enough to make me see it.
Comment by MahMahAfro on November 21, 2012 at 1:36pm @Teron - agreed - that first trailer made it look dark and edgy, now it just looks like a kids movie. Also the cgi looks kinda bad, but maybe I'm just fatigued by the look of modern computer effects in movies - I found it impossible to suspend my disbelief in the scene with the cg cyclops in Wrath of the Titans, doubt I could do it for a whole movie like this.
Comment by nerdilicouse?! on November 21, 2012 at 1:24pm I want to see it...
Meh
Comment by Teron Caldwell on November 21, 2012 at 12:54pm I'm a little disappointed. The first trailer made it look like a horror thriller which i liked. The moment the giants talked i was turned off and the comedy is weak.
