Dr. Rufus posted a statusFor lack of a better term, the newest trailer for 'The Amazing Spider-Man' is well... amazing. Now that more of the visual effects are complete, we finally get a much better look at some of the more intense moments of the film including more of the POV sequences, Spider-Man webslinging around town, and some of the incredible fight scenes (including one that takes place on the ceiling!). The new trailer also emphasizes the focus of the new film - Peter Parker's search for answers about his parent's mysterious disappearance and The Lizard unleashing some kind of biological attack upon New York City. Directed by Marc Webb and starring Andrew Garfield, Rhys Ifans, and Emma Stone, 'The Amazing Spider-Man' swings into theaters on July 3rd.

Comment by Tom on May 5, 2012 at 12:08pm The more trailers I see, the better it looks. I know this one isn't hyped up as much as other movies, but I will probably go see it.
Comment by Cody on May 5, 2012 at 4:22am Mr. K you articulated everything I was thinking. I'm excited for this thing

Comment by Grand Master Bushido Brown on May 4, 2012 at 10:05pm Best part of this is The Glitch Mob. Oh yeah!
Comment by Hayley Fischer the Brony on May 4, 2012 at 9:06pm I honestly don't know about this reboot because, yes, I agree with @Richard Dempsey. If I see this movie, it could be a been-there-done-that thing. But, I'll wait till the reviews come out.
Comment by The Fridge Raider on May 4, 2012 at 7:30pm Geez....Not Another Super Hero Movie! XD
No Seriously, I thwiped in my trousers when I saw this trailer, knaamean?
Comment by Mr.K on May 4, 2012 at 7:12pm It's exhausting looking at so many ridiculously "underwhelmed" and "this is unnecessary" comments. If the comics can retell this story soooooo many times, why can't the movie? Why the hell not? Of course it will be similar in certain regards, it has Spider man from a similar era of superhero films. So gee, why can't this stand on it's own? THIS IS NOT RAIMI STARTING FROM SCRATCH, IT IS SOMEONE ELSE. Meaning a new flavor and style, a new way of seeing this character on film.
Is it a little soon? Yes. Does it deserve scrutiny? Like all things, yes. But almost everything that has been shown to us has not been low quality material. This is not a simple cash in on the superhero hype, that is clear whether it is good movie or not.
Comment by Richard Dempsey on May 4, 2012 at 6:34pm I have a strange feeling of "been there, done that" syndrome.
Comment by IronGuy on May 4, 2012 at 5:20pm @FurryHat the reason most people think this reboot is unnecessary is because the last spider-man movie didn't come out a decade ago as was the case with batman and superman. also, while spider-man 3 wasn't that good, it wasn't as atrocious as batman and robin or superman 4, to the point where people felt like the whole series needed to be rebooted. having said all that though, i must say these last 2 trailers for amazing spider-man do look pretty promising.
