New Viral Marketing For 'The Dark Knight Rises'

Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight Rises' is no stranger to the viral marketing campaign. Last December we saw a leaked document, purportedly from the CIA, reporting that a prominent nuclear scientist (a character in the film) had gone missing. This latest batch is from the Gotham PD. The documents include a wanted poster and warrant for the arrest of John Doe, alias The Batman. There are also rolls of film that, when developed, reveal what appear to be clips from the new trailer, which is set to premiere later this week as well as in theaters before 'The Avengers.' Take a look at the docs below and let us know what you think. Feel free to visit the official TDKR website for enlargements.

'The Dark Knight Rises' hits theaters July 20th

it seems in nolans universe kodak is still a viable company because in the real world they filed for bankruptcy a few months ago

I never understood why they classified batman as THE batman..hes not a species..that is the name. Batman. you don't go around saying. The spiderman. or The superman. its just. spiderman and superman..

@ Bobby and keh006

"...police guess height and weight all the time."

"If you can estimate the height..."

Fellas, "Approx" is not shorthand for "guess" or "estimate". ;)

It saddens me how they keep trying to "legitimize" all the cool super-hero stuff. Like, he's not just "Batman," that's too cartoony. He's "The Batman," like they're talking about the Chupacabra or something.

(Yes, I know that they call him that in the comics, like, every once in a blue moon, but you get my point)

Basically. If you can estimate the height which is fairly easy you can give a pretty good guess of the weight if its a regular sized man at that height.

At Dick police guess height and weight all the time. Haven't you ever watched the news when they are looking for a suspect and they give Approximate height and weight.
