Sure, 'The Avengers' and 'The Dark Knight Rises' are eagerly anticipated, and that's great and all. But for me, 2012 is simply the year we get another Quentin Tarantino film! If you could bottle my excitement over 'Django Unchained,' I'm pretty sure it would power a city block for a week...well, maybe a city block in a third world country, but a city block nonetheless. Today, two brand spankin' new images from the film hit the web. The first shows Leonardo DiCaprio wielding a hammer and a fancy haircut, and the second gives us a glimpse of the partnership between Dr. King Schultz (Chrisoph Waltz) and Django himself (Jamie Foxx). Awesome! Take a look at the image below and let us know what you think.

'Django Unchained' will be released December 25th

@GodDamnRobots:

Seeing as how that's far and away his best film, that's all I can hope for...

LOOKS good.  Harder for him to be meta in the 19th century so maybe this will be another "Jackie Brown" for him.  I sure as shit hope so.

Oh goodie, another overly drawn out self-congratulatory circle jerk where Tarantino spends nearly three hours patting himself on the back for being such a film buff know it all.

My anticipation knows no bounds.

Over-under on the amount of obscure/Japanese movies he references to pad this one out? Anyone? Anyone?

These are some stylish mothafuckers for people in the olded days.

@whitewizard: whitewizard is a Grand Wizard in real life! OK; serious face. You've seen a lot of slavery and Holocaust movies; Great! Who's forcing you to watch this one.

@whitewizard ...yea something is wrong with you. Hollywood shouldn't make movies cause they may you feel uncomfortable? Get over yourself. You don't own slaves so you shouldn't feel guilty for anything. I cant wait to see this movie.

People forget Inglorious Basterds was PARTLY a revenge flick and Death Proof was a slasher film, Kill Bill is pretty much the only true revenge flick QT has really done. This one is like kill bill of course, but it just looks BADASS. I can't wait to see this! It runs a little deeper than your average revenge flick.

Another QT revenge movie.. I like the guy but all of the Spill Crew's complaints about him (which we've all heard) are all too true.
