New 'Star Trek 2' Image
I would have been excited to see J.J. Abrams' 'Star Trek 2' even if not a single set image was released before the film hit theaters. Yet we've already gotten a host of them, including some badass snippets of Benedict Cumberbatch sparring with Spock (Zachary Quinto) so yeah, I'm more than a little pumped. To the we can now add this brand new set pic in which we see Quinto, clad in a red space suit being suspended from a cable. According to reports, he is wearing a volcano suit so it'll be interesting to see how molten environments might come into play within the plot. Take a look at the image below and let us know what you think.

I can't get pumped for this while it's being shot in 3D (meaning digital ... and that I can't see this at the IMAX). How completely and utterly foolish of them. It's a shame Super 8 didn't take every ounce of money left on planet Earth but whoever the man was who lost faith in J.J., just because he wasn't bringing home bacon in satisfactorily corpulent amounts, is an idiot.
IMAX this shit. REALLY look towards the future. Stop selling the audience on a format that doesn't work ... and then wonder why you struggle to make money.
