Joe Magaletta posted a statusWe've seen the announcement for the preview of the teaser, we've seen the daily teasers for the teaser, and now finally at long last we have the actual, honest-to-Zod teaser trailer for Rian Johnson's upcoming sci-fi thriller, 'Looper'. Set in a world where time travel exists (but won't be invented for another couple decades), Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as the main character, Joe. Joe is a "looper" - when the mob in the future wants to dispose of someone, they send them back into the past where people like Joe are waiting to shoot them in the head and dispose of the body. However, things get more complicated when present day Joe (Levitt) recognizes one of the targets as his future self (played by Bruce Willis). JGL apparently underwent almost three hours of makeup every day and wore a variety of prosthetic appliances on his face to make him resemble Willis, and the effect is quite remarkable. While Levitt does carry a slight resemblance in the film, he definitely doesn't look like himself and it's interesting to see him take such a leap for a character.
'Looper' arrives in the present on September 28th.

I do not know of this Bruce you speak of, but I certainly feel like like an asshat now that I've fully read the description.
It's weird that I only noticed the makeup in that pic but he doesn't look very different in the trailer...at least to me he doesn't.
Comment by PirateLordBush on April 14, 2012 at 2:15am Bruce.. You definitely did not read the description.
Comment by Wruce Bayne on April 14, 2012 at 1:57am ...is it just me or did they alter JGL's face on the thumbnail to this in order to Bruce Willis him up,
because there's something quite "off" about him in that.
Comment by Daniel Truong on April 14, 2012 at 1:56am Time Crime was a great little gem that I watched and this seems to have smatterings of it. I'm excited for anything with JGL in it.

Comment by strange-benhur on April 14, 2012 at 12:50am this is the year for SCI-FI MOVIES, from the blockbusters to the more indie ones!
Comment by Agent 326 on April 14, 2012 at 12:13am I enjoyed Brick and The Brothers Broom quite a bit, so this is one of my most anticipated films this year. The fact the Johnson's previous films were so different from one another and executed so well gives me confidence he'll pull off science fiction without a problem.

Comment by Dr.DeadVortex on April 13, 2012 at 7:39pm it's funny how JGL recognizes Bruce(Himself) by just looking into his eyes.i cant really see the similarities between Bruce and JGL,besides the big forehead.
