Tommy, it's funny because I thought Role Models didn't wane like this movie did. In fact I saw that three more times with different people in the theater but couldn't see myself seeing this again until it appears in the Walmart $5 DVD bin. The structure was more solid than Wanderlust, which seemed over-casual to a fault.
And to Halfrican and the Spill crew, I think a CoHost Magic Eightball would be a killer swag item. Shake Cohost and see what the floating triangle rates the movie or DVD you're about to watch. Love that Bingo card, BTW.

Comment by Christopher Coldicott on February 25, 2012 at 5:26am Best Co Host quote of the day: 'Why would you want to be with the same [woman] for longer than a week?
Try eating the same sandwich for 8 days - you tell me how that goes for you'.
That is some impressive sexism my friend - I laughed till I cried!!

Comment by NotTheWhosTommy on February 25, 2012 at 12:29am Saw it and generally agree with you guys. Director/writer David Wain (whom made Role Models, Leon) always suffers from the lack of steam after the hour mark in his films. He works best on TV with stuff like Childrens Hospital and The State.
I hated this movie's first poster (as odd as it sounds).

No, Miracle Whip does not count as mayo. Although similar, Miracle Whip is sweeter and tangier and is actually considered a salad dressing despite the more common use of spreading it on bread for sandwiches. Just sayin'.
Other than that, great review guys, now I actually want to see this movie. Wasn't sure before.
Just finished listening and I agree it was that third act. The casino/deed peak (I'm trying not to make a spoiler here)seemed manufactured and uncharacteristic. The main meat of the film was the couple drifting apart and that arc could have been made so much stronger; it really didn't need the whole casino thing. Still, there were laughs and once again Spill delivered another great review.
