@The Tourist I trust the spill crew. They are usually genuine. But, Fungusmonkey said that the reason the spill crew originally gave Indy 4 a Full Price is because they got caught up in the movie's hype. If it happend before it can happen again.
Comment by Brian Salisbury on January 22, 2012 at 10:47pm TKBE--For the love of GOD! Not that I want to participate in your absurd ploy for attention, but your smug Last Crusade question is driving me insane! He didn't have to survive the tank falling from the cliff because he didn't fall with the tank. If you'd go back and watch the movie again, you'd see that he jumps off the tank and is hanging on the cliff by a root that he then climbs up. HE NEVER FELL.
"Some muthafuckas always try to ice skate uphill"
@Cyrus I'm glad I did not offend you. Like I said I'm bad with words. The political thing was my attempt at an analogy. Let me try to explain my point again. Critics are kind of like politicians. It’s all about trust and honesty. If you are honest with your opinions than I trust you guys. If I don’t think you’re honest, say if I think your opinion is influenced by your friends, other critics, the movie’s hype, or possibly paid by the studio. Then I’m not going to trust your opinion. Then I get the opinion of other critics (politicians) like Roger Ebert or Harry Knowles. So critics are kind of campaigning for the public’s trust.
Does that make sense to you now? Probably not lol
@Grant I didn't mean to offend you either Grat. If I did.
Comment by The Tourist on January 22, 2012 at 9:58pm @Toe Knee Bee Ears It seems to me that you're now accusing the crew for something they don't do, that is, being EASILY swayed to change their minds (Your words). So their opinions have changed on Indy 4, that's ONE movie. I can think of so many other films where their opinions have gone against the grain and have remained unchanged. They even mention some in THIS episode of LEOG. (Gladiator, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, etc). Think of Cyrus recently defending his review of the A-Team in one of the trailer talks. There are so many examples of members of the crew standing by their opinions.
Look at the big picture and you'd realize that Indy 4 is a rare case, which means the change of heart is all the more genuine.
Comment by Grant on January 22, 2012 at 8:51pm @Kevin: Justified made it onto our TV Dudes best of 2011 list:

There's no offense taken on my part, TBKE, but your understanding of context is bizarre. There's absolutely NO comparison to art analysis and political decision making. It's almost funny to imagine there being one.
Comment by Kevin McMullin on January 22, 2012 at 7:51pm Why did last seasons Justified never make it on the best of anyones tv list? This second season was even better then the first with more stories dealing with the morally grey charater of Boyd, The introduction of the top drug growing/running family in Harlan who had their hands in all kinds of devious shit. Also Timothy Olyphants portayal of marshall Rayland Givens is one of the best written charaters on T.V. This is a show that everyone needs to check out.
Rayland Givens a Starwars fan who knew?
@Goggalor Thanks to you and all the others who agree with me that Indy 4 is a good movie.
@Harris Thanks for your well expanded definition of suspension of disbelief. And it's because of suspension of disbelief that I bought the “nuke the fridge" scene. And if it was just about any other movie I would have said “BULLSHIT!" But, this was Indiana Jones so I accepted it.
@Cyrus Think about it this way. What if a politician constantly changed their mind on an issue that was very important to you? Would you think of them? Say for example you were gay, and the politician you liked supported gay marriage, then all of a sudden he was against gay marriage. Would you vote for that person? How can you trust someone who constantly changes their position on an issue that is important to you? The people of this site trust that you will give your honest opinion on movies so that they don't waste there hard earned money on a movie that might be bad. Say if someone is on the fence about seeing a movie, they are more likely to see that movie that you give Full Price rather than if you gave that movie you Some Ole Bullshit. Before a review is posted you should be certain that you gave your most honest opinion. I respect your opinion but, when you flip-flop it gives me doubt. Do you get what I am trying to say? You see I really am a nice guy but, I'm bad with words so I get into a lot of misunderstandings. It's not my intention to insult or upset you in anyway. It's just frustrating when I can't get my actual point across. I do apologize if I have offended you or anyone else. Are we cool?
@Fungusmonkey I never insulted anyone for disagreeing with me. You might not have noticed but, I have said several times that if anyone hates Indy 4 its fine with me. I know I'm in the minority when I say I like the Indy 4 movie. I know Indy 4 has flaws and I accept them. I'm not trying to change anybody’s mind. I'm not trying to get people to agree with me. In fact I agree that the "nuke the fridge" scene is unbelievable, unrealistic, over the top and silly. I am just stating that since Indy has done so many crazy things in his previous movies I buy it. If one has seen any of the other Indy movies they know to expect the ridicules. If one wants total 100% reality its best they watch a different movie. A documentary would be their best bet. Check out MaroBot's comment. It's one of the early comments. It's on about the third to the last page. He said pretty much the exact same thing my first comment did. I have a hard time getting my point across. People (like you) are always misunderstanding me. Perhaps he said it better than I can. It's funny, he said basically the same thing that I was trying to get across before I did yet I'm the one that gets dumped on. lol
Another thing, I did not say "Changing your opinion is being "weak minded". I said "someone who easily changes their opinion is very weak minded." The key word being "easily." In other words, some who is easily swayed. Someone who would change their mind suddenly without thinking about it is weak minded. Basically, someone who changes their minds at the drop of the hat is weak minded.
I knew about the symbol in Last Crusade. I was hoping you forgot. lol
There is one question you still have yet to answer. How did Indy survive the tank falling from the cliff in Last Crusade ?
Why did you feel the need to insult me? I never insulted you. You have misunderstood me. I was just trying to get my point across. It seems that I have failed again as I usually do. By the way, did you get my joke about Highlander 2 that I said in my last comment? I said that to try to lighten the mood. I guess I failed at that as well. Like I told Cyrus, it was not my intent to insult or offend you or anyone else in any way. Are we cool?
Comment by The Profit on January 22, 2012 at 7:46pm Oh, and Indy 4 can lick my sack.
Comment by The Profit on January 22, 2012 at 7:41pm Dexter's biggest disappointment wasn't the ending. It was the blatant ripoff twist. That reminds me...I need to go "make some soap" and clean this season from my brain.
