Michael Bay's Rejected "The Dark Knight" Script

Apparently, Michael Bay wrote an unsolicited script for The Dark Knight that was ultimately rejected by Warner Bros. Though this is the first I’ve heard of it, I have the exclusive leaked images to back it up.

Here are some choice excerpts.

It really made my day. I've been feeling down about my own screenwriting problems. This faux Michael Bay script really put things in perspective.

I'm impressed, maybe this script has some good points? Really nice to see where this movie is going. Always love Batman movies. I laughed when Bruce said, "All of them". Hack the internet? Nice.

Thanks so much for this. It really made my day. I've been feeling down about my own screenwriting problems. This faux Michael Bay script really put things in perspective. So funny... BTW, I'm in the minority who thought Transformers 2 was really kind of brilliant. They really nail it in the IO9 review: http://io9.com/5301898/michael-bay-finally-made-an-art-movie

You’re finally ready to write that screenplay. All the necessary software has been purchased — you’ve got help formatting, developing story arcs, naming characters, and giving them snappy dialogue. Good to go. But wait . . . what do you press to make your screenplay read exactly like one of director Michael Bay’s high-flying, hypercharged, explosive summer blockbusters? (Don’t bother looking for an F16 key.)

The folks at Spill have concocted a hilarious reimagining of this summer’s monster hit as only Bay (Pearl Harbor, Armageddon, Bad Boys) would have done it. You know The Dark Knight — it’s the superhero movie blessed with both critical affection and mass audience devotion. It takes only until page 3 in Bay’s version for a badass montage to kick in, set to the tune of AC/DC’s “Back in Black.” Awesome. Reading this just raises a question: What would Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan do with Bay’s Transformers franchise? (beat) No, seriously. That would be awesome.
