As of July of 2008, a fifth installment has been confirmed for "next generation" consoles. Splinter Cell Conviction: Delayed

In a surprise to absolutely nobody after no showing E3, Ubisoft has announced that Splinter Cell: Conviction has been pushed back to their 2009-2010 fiscal year plans. Jonah Hill and Teresa Palmer out, Isabel Lucas in... Both Jonah Hill (Superbad) and model Teresa Palmer are no longer going to be in Transformers 2. Talks with Hill have broken down and Michael Bay has confirmed that they aren't interested in Palmer. "No we have stopped negotiating with Jonah, and Teresa Palmer was not considered for a role."
