There isn't any superhero hotter than Batman right now. Arkham Asylum isn't based any of the movies, but it does look amazing. In a surprise to absolutely nobody after no showing E3, Ubisoft has announced that Splinter Cell: Conviction has been pushed back to their 2009-2010 fiscal year plans. In a conference call with investors Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot explained the decision as being due to Splinter Cell being dubbed a "risky" venture for the company. According to blog-we-never-heard-of-before gamekyo.com, Ubisoft has said they'll be showing off a new survival action game from the Jade Raymond camp at Darkworks, called I Am Alive. Pre-sales are big...
Early word is that the pre-sales for tickets to The Dark Knight have been so big, theaters have started adding tons of extra screenings. Dozens of showtimes for the film have already sold out, and the movie doesn't open until July 18th.

Cast grows....
Helena Bonham Carter (Sweeney Todd) has signed on for a role in the upcoming new Terminator movie. Carter is in talks to play a role described as "small but pivotal".
The cast already includes Christian Bale, Bryce Dallas Howard, Anton Yelchin and Sam Worthington.

Okay, so it's not much, but it's something. Columbia Pictures has launched their official site for The Green Hornet, complete with a snazzy title treatment that touts star Seth Rogen's involvement and the planned June 25, 2010 release date.

Jonah Hill and Teresa Palmer out, Isabel Lucas in...
Both Jonah Hill (Superbad) and model Teresa Palmer are no longer going to be in Transformers 2. Talks with Hill have broken down and Michael Bay has confirmed that they aren't interested in Palmer.
"No we have stopped negotiating with Jonah, and Teresa Palmer was not considered for a role."
Meanwhile, it appears that Isabel Lucas has landed a role in the film. She will apparently play Alice.
