Well, the trailer for the Last House on the Left got me looking forward for this weekend. Dark feeling, interesting plot, deranged brutality and the powerful quote, "Do you want to hear what I did to your daughter." To my great surprise though, the movie seemed to be a typical horror film, meaning there is no sound reason for the massacres of murders and you get to see interesting ways to kill a person with practical household appliances.
The movie opens up with someone being escorted to a pris…

Hello fellow spill members. We have had a great year as far as movies are considered and it high time I make my list of the best movies of 2008.
First off I would like to apologize, I was meaning to make this list the day after Christmas but I really wanted to see “the wrestler” before that, so I put it off. Found a way to watch “the wrestler” a couple of days Christmas but got distracted by “Fallout 3”. Finally, I sat down and took the time to make this list. One thing I would like to also say…

Bruce Willis is rumored to be directing a movie called Three Stories About Joan. It is a phycological thriller that is being shot in Louisiana. Bruce Willis is a great actor and with all the success that actors/directors seem to have; Bruce Willis should have a good chance of breaking into this profession. He is starring in the movie along side Owen Wilson (Drillbit Taylor) and Kieran Culkin (Home Alone). More information will be posted when it is released.

Found City of God for a good price several days ago and now I know; I would have paid full price for this movie. This movie is about a boy name Rocket living in the slums of a third world country, the city of god. A great part about this movie is finding out the plot, so I will not go into too much detail, but we view Rocket’s growth as a man through the lives of people around him. We watch him grow, follow his dreams, and we see the change that happens to the City of God.
This movie is deservi…

This is one of the most creative movies I have seen in several years. Not the flashiest opening to a review but, this movie was great. It tells the story of Earl Brooks (Kevin Costner), a CEO at a box factory and all around family man. He might be the greatest guy you will ever meet if it weren’t for his dark secret. Earl Brooks as an addiction, he has an addiction to killing. As an addiction, no matter how hard he tries to stop murdering. One night though, Earl gets caught by a photographer on…

Will Ferrell, why are you so fucking retarded. Stop acting like a dick for at least two years and make some good movie. The first time I watched “stranger than fiction”, I said to myself “Wow, Will Ferrell can act”. I thought that you had turned a new leaf but no, you just keep making stupid movies with no real point to them. Please Will, I ask of you to make like a real actor. I’ve seen you do it, it’s not impossible, and everyone wants you to do it.
This message also goes to John C. Reiley. Y…

Started to watch “A Clockwork Orange” with very little expected and I have to say, it beat any expectation that I could have ever had. To summarize the plot of this film, we follow the life of Alex, who also happens to be the British narrator of the movie. Alex and his gang show us examples of their daily routine which consists of fighting, assaulting, and molesting woman. His gang starts to get rebellious ideas and quickly put in their place by the crazed Alex. Then, after following a plan that…

In the film “A Beautiful Mind” we follow the story of John Nash, a genius that attends Princeton University, more or less. Though he finds to stay in college he must come up with a truly original idea that would blow the Princeton board away. With the help of his roommate Charles, who happens to be a literature major but is always around when John needs him the most, comes up with his idea that could change the…

Okay, straight to the point, I am going to take a chance at writing reviews for some interesting movies. Because this is a movie community where people help each other out with anything movie/pop culture related, I want to help out to by reviewing movies both old and new that some people may not have heard of or just weren't motivated enough to give a chance. If you find this to be a nocience, please just ignore or give me feed back about what you see to be a problem. In peace their is, this was…
