As the "Legend of The Dark Knight" draws to an end on July 20th, to look back on the series that has spanned 7 years, is like drinking a fine wine, it only gets better with age. Considering how far the franchise, and characters have come since the first rumors of a "new Batman film", it's a tremendous feat in both a artistic sense, and in a cultural sense. With that being said let's take a closer look at Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight Series".…

"Batman Begins" set a new standard for how a superhero could be made. It didn't only just revamp the Batman franchise, it revamped the entire superhero genre. In 2008 with the release of "The Dark Knight" Christopher Nolan, and team not only pushed that standard to a all time high, but gave one of the greatest performances in recent memory with Heath Ledger as The Joker, and now has been the film that every other superhero or comic book film is compared too. Now the time…

It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly fifteen years since Wes Craven’s “Scream” hit theaters in 1996. While the slasher flick can easily be considered a Hollywood horror classic, it was released at a time when it seemed like the genre had little left to give audiences.…

With Zack Snyder's film "Sucker Punch" being despised by mostly all who've seen it, the biggest complaint that I've found by most people is the quote on quote "female exploitation", or "female empowerment", or the one that's been used the most "sexist". Now I've seen "Sucker Punch", and I came to the conclusion very early in the film that it was going to be bad...very, very bad, but this isn't a review of the horrificness that is Zack…

As of right now, "The Dark Knight Rises" is probably the most anticipated comic book movie, rivaled only by "The Avengers" and "The Amazing Spider-Man" after the phenomenon that was "The Dark Knight" . "Spider-Man 3" was also hotly anticipated at its time, but now it's considered one of the weaker comic book movies ever made. So what am I bringing up…

Movies are always met by praise, and panning, but at times there are some films that are so popular, they live a life of their own. Some films such as "Transformers" is one of those films, where the average crowd loves it immensely, but us movie buffs, and film critics just think it's a piece of crap. Some movies that are not like "Transformers" that are actually considered good films are also sometimes met with the same right as "Transformers" and are…

It's that time of the year when award shows bombard the screens of televisions worldwide, we make fun of them, we criticize their stupidity in nominees, and presentation, and we blog, and discuss the ones we all wanted to win, but the one that really matters when it comes to film is the Academy Awards. A few days ago the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences released their nominations for the best of film in the year…

The Golden Globes, are becoming a joke every year it goes by, and we all know that it's not as big as something like The Academy Awards, but for some it's still a big event, exept for those watching the stupidity of the whole show. This year all the winners I agreed with with the exeption of few…

Seth Rogen's new action movie "The Green Hornet" has earned a 44% on Rotton Tomatoes, a not so steller review from the Spill Crew, and a lot of hate from critics, and audiences alike. Now how can this be, that is the question. It's an superhero action film, and it has some popular stars such as Cameron Diaz, but it's acquired so much panning from people it baffles me that it even made $550,000 at the midnight shows.
Short Review of…

Some have said that 2010 has been a bad year for movies. I debunk that statement by saying 2010 was a great year for movies. Sure there have been some examples of great films that are engaging, and are fun for the audience, and there have been examples of what not to do in a movie, but every year is like that. Every year is different, this year seemed to be the tech/thinking year. We had films that were about the new age of technology, and that made you think, l and not just dumb it…

"Tron: Legacy" is number one at the box office, not a surprise, and it's take in is considered to some to be a disappointment, but to be fair it's not even in it's first week of release, but considering the money it did bring in, and the critical response from mostly critics, but also general moviegoers, "Tron: Legacy" isn't what they wanted, and expected.
Yahoo.com has said:
