There’s one movie that every now and then comes to mind as that diamond in the rough, that my-own classic. When that one movie does come to mind it instantly springs two others into mind. That one movie is any one of the three, once one pops in there, the other two follow.
I refer to them as the The Rappers Trilogy.
The three are (to me) similar in tone, age, and cast (somewhat).

I'll try to write a "review" worthy of the Good Book I just read (no not the good book meaning bible) but The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I heard of the book through a podcast, I want to say it was a Let's Do This, but not 100% positive.
Two things came to mind when I heard, about The Road that made… Continue
I’m sure there’s enough “who is (are) the next villain(s) for Spider-Man 4?” Blogs, posts, threads, essays and VVVVVVVlogs
So here’s mine
Been there, done that
Green Goblin & Goblin Jr., Venom, Sandman, Doc Ock.
Who is left?
Who could carry a full movie by themselves as a SOLO single villain?
Can any 1 villain left do this?
Maybe, but another major plot would need to be brought up…
example: Peter’s Identity being threatened, Death of Aunty May, or something significant, just don’t mentio… Continue
Ok, so out of trying to expand my comic horizons' I picked up the 1st TPB for Y The Last Man
And I have to say it's a great read and I'll be picking up the 2nd TPB this week.
A quick synopsis - All the mammals on the planet that have the Y chromosome (males) except for our hero (… Continue
I may not have ADHD (Attention's shot to piss) but the following movies make me feel like I do…and it’s not so bad. For each one, I try to keep it simple…too much info means ADD/ADHD/INSANITY will kick in and BAM!! I lose you…
First up:
Smokin’Aces
Some people liked it and some people hated it, and I’m not just talkin about the movie as a whole, but every aspect of it as well…and here’s another
The soundtrack, the music, some fit, other parts didn’t but you can’t argue that the original source material was influenced by some popular music, let’s go over this
The movie’s opening credits play to Bob Dylan’s ‘The times they are a changin’ Now, I thought for sure this song was referenced in the comics, but until I find my copy, I cannot prov… Continue
First up, in order to enjoy the movie at all, you’ll have to be (somewhat) a fan of the video game series. Unlike the live action movies (based off the game) Degeneration is more of a direct sequel of the series. This movie plays out like one extended cut scene from the games, which isn’t a bad thing.
I’d do a quick synopsis but find I’m not very good at them, but basically a zombie outbreak happens, the characters have to solve the mystery of how and why. Basic stuff as far as it being resident… Continue
Some time ago I posted my ‘I quit Smoking’ Blog. Well, roughly 8 weeks later and I’m still smoke free! Not a single drag, nor puff, no cigars, no blunt, nothing!
And wow the money I saved so far is crazy! Or at least seems crazy. And that’s still purchasing the Patch, which is roughly, like, $30 a week for the patch I was smoking like 5 packs a week, so $50, that’s a savings of (on average) $20 per week. And over the past 8 weeks, like $160 …wow
Adds up, but that’s the first time I actually sat… Continue
It's my own annual tradition that when the new Saw movie is released on DVD, I get it, watch it, and then sit back to await the new one. So here's my thoughts, and it does include spoilers, including the ending.
I'm a fan of the series JUST because I don't take it serious, I don't analyse it (because) if I did, sure it's silly and unbelievable, but so is Star Wars, or even better, the Friday the 13th movies, yet I still enjoyed them.
So watched it last night and so here's my review, beginning… Continue
WHICH BTW is a) being mentioned as in talks, b) my clever use of coming up with (a) and c) awesome way to get hits!
I should sell that idea...SELL IT !
unless someone came up with it first, which ..I'll do it anyway!
Sorry, I'm sorry I just came froma stupid forum thread and still left a bit tarded and then I saw Carlyle's Watchmen post and thought, those whores! using a new spin on an old news item to generate hits!
So, um, something to make this blog not a waste of time
You there READING t… Continue
This isn't easy for me to start, my beginning is going to be a jumbled mess of ideas, but hopefully it'll progress into a better thought out, and readable article.
My topic: Superstar Comic book writers and how they degenerate into douche bags
Our roster - Alan Moore, Frank Miller,Garth Ennis & Jeff Loeb - the fantastic four of comics.
Subject: Alan Moore
His Deal: Creator of the Watchmen, the comic book version of the bible, or at least a bible. He's done other stuff to...
Why he's a… Continue
Ok, I will try to reference movie and/or comics...but really this is the whole BLog. Because you see, this isn't an easy thing to do, as anyone who has qut smoking can atest to.
Let's see, it's been 17 years when I started. That's a long time. Um, that would have been 1991, which saw T2, Silence of the Lambs & Point Break have big big box office.
Anyway, I'm on the Patch which seems to be curbing the urge to kill anyone who looks at me cross-eyed. I figure the patch is good for that, the a… Continue
The Wolverine Origins trailer is out
I liked it
Overall it's what one should expect for a Wolverine origin movie. The Weapon X program looks about right
the tank we've seen from the X-Men movies is fine, sure I liked Tyler Mane as Sabretooth, but Liev does a decent job.
As far as adding all the extra characters, I'm sure most of them are going to come and go, but I don't mind it. At least we get to see big screen adaptions of some who would otherwise, not get any screen time
John Wraith, The… Continue
I should be overjoyed...am I? but how should I feel?
Ok, so I have all issues of the West Coast / Avengers West Coast series, including the limited series, all of Hawkeye's Limited series, and his short lived regular series. So I've seen the relationship between him and Mockingbird begin, grow, seperate, return, and die
I was there when Hawkeye died, twice, and his returns, and the new costume...
I've followed these two for a long time, and now, they're back, kind of.
When I first saw the Sk… Continue
Let's go back a ways first
To 2005 to be exact and when the announcement for The Movies, a game by Lionhead would be part Movie Sim game and actual movie maker built right in!
Well, the gears of war start turning, and an idea was formed, make a movie! Machinima, which is what the kids call it and so, I shall throw my proverbial hat in the ring.
The game came out and the limits far outweighed the ability to put together several scenes, to tell a story.
Ok, sure my script isn't the Epic, unique… Continue
Thunderbolts issue 126
A new arc starts, housecleaning indeed!
SPOILERS
- Radioactive Man is recalled to China
- Penance is to be shipped off to the funny farm, and not a nice funny farm!
- And the fate of Song Bird doesn't look good
That Norman Osborn is a sneaky sumbitch! He's positioning himself nicely, and throws
down the gloves this issue.
This new Arc really started off with a bang, which is not a new thing for this series. Even when Ellis left,
the new creative teams have really kept… Continue
Wolverine #69
Old Man Logan part 4
Half way through this future what if sort of tale.
I have to admit, the only reason I picked this up was because it featured Hawkeye (favorite character).
Overall, the idea is kinda silly, and not very original, what with the future ruins, villians have taken over.
But really, for me, that's what makes is a fun read. I've always liked the what ifs. The art really
makes this one worth while, very wide screen type action, even if the landscapeis mostly wastela… Continue
This is a group set up to celebrate our favorite little nerdling Jason A.K.A. Fish. He's going off to collage so as a gift to him I have created this group.
