There are many different types of films, the good ones, the okay ones, the bad ones, and the great ones. It is very rare you see a movie that you consider flawless. It is even rarer you see a movie that you consider a masterpiece. "The Hurt Locker" is a rare type of film. "Th…

When Star Wars Phantom Menace came out...... I was 4, and like everyone else, I was DYING to see it, and, like almost every other 4 year old in the world, I LOVED IT. It was not till I came to Spill when I realized how much people HATE the prequels, especially this film, and I can totally see why. But still to this day I really like this movie, but I don’t like the other 2 THAT much. But the point of this blog post is to flash back to what is, to this day, the most hyped movie of all time, and t…

SPOILER ALERT: Do not read any further if you don't want to know plot details of Terminator Salvation. Seriously! You've been warned!
Two weeks before Terminator Salvation hit theaters, the film's director, McG, sat in his L.A. production office for an interview with EW. He was talking about the swirl of rumors and gossip surrounding the film -- about how bloggers had posted all kinds of far-fetched speculation during production and how it drove him nuts.
And then, out of nowhere, McG smiles a…

I watched the Poughkeepsie Tapes online today reluctantly because I really don’t like horror movies but after seeing Dr.Jays review I said "hey ill check this out" and................this is by far THE WORST PIECE OF SHIT I HAVE SEEN IN YEARS. I can’t believe that this movie was made. There is a reason why this movie might never be released. This had so many chances to redeem itself and it failed. I’m furious that I spent 86 minutes of my life watching this turd covered film reel. This is Saw, H…

So what if it paints kangaroos in an unfairly harsh light, this Seuss adaptation is funny, heartfelt and beautifully rendered. And Steve Carell and Jim Carrey make a dynamic comic duo as the teeny-tiny mayor of Whoville and the giant-hearted elephant who team up to prov…

From Kate Beckinsale's distaste for sushi (you may be a little shocked by what she prefers to raw fish) to Zac Efron's hygiene habits and Harrison Ford's thoughts on Shia LaBeouf, comes the most sensational, confessional, entertaining celeb quotes of 2008.
Harrison Ford
"We'd have to call it 'Mutt Jones: The Search for Elvis.'"
-- Ford, on the possibility of Shia LaBeouf taking over as the lead in the the Indiana Jones franchise.
Kim Kardashian

Once, Disney envisioned 'Chronicles of Narnia' as a seven-part series to rival 'Harry Potter.' But after the disappointing box office of this summer's 'Prince Caspian,' the Hollywood Reporter and other outlets report that the studio has declined to co-finance 'The Voyage of the Dawn Treader,' scheduled to be the third film in the franchise. Walden Media, which owns the film rights to the C.S. Lewis books, will shop the project to other studios, hoping to remain on track for 2010 release.

I’m getting sick of sports movies about classic, old stories. The best sports stories to me are the movies about lesser known stories such as Friday Night Lights, Invincible, We Are Marshall. So I came up with a film about the 2002 Miami Hurricanes football team. I think the story would be interesting because at this time the team would be dealing with the pressure of high expectations and defending a championship. I already have the cast.

The hits keep on coming for Fox, and that's a bad thing. The studio, already reeling from a year full of major disappointments like Meet Dave, The X Files: I Want to Believe, City of Ember, Australia, Babylon A.D., Deception, and Mirrors, has one more ticking time bomb on its hands: The Day the Earth Stood Still.
The science fiction remake simply didn't make enough money in its debut to call itself a smash, and it might not recoup its $80 million budget in American ticket sales. A $31 million…

with the release of ''The Express'' this week I have decided to make a list of my top 10 favorite football movies.
10. Knute Rockne All American (1940) -This classic movie is a biography of legendary Notre Dame football coach Knute Rockne (Pat O'Brien). The film's screenplay was based on private papers held by Rockne's wife and Notre Dame (Rockne died nine years before its release), and the movie itself features old newsreel clips of games, such as those between traditional rivals Notre Dame an…

20. Speed Racer- The Wachowskis blur the definition of "children's film" as much as the original cartoon challenged Western perceptions of "children's television".
19. Hancock- Has plenty of funny, even tender moments until it veers in a different, messy direction an hour in.
18. The Strangers- A good-looking, sophisticated, if somewhat pointless addition to the slasher-horror genre.
17.Sex and the City - The Movie- The film is raw, sentimental and outrageously materialistic - just as a true…

Lionsgate reporting that there upcoming film Punisher War Zone is pushing a PG-13 rating. Of course, Lionsgate can always say, "This was never intended to be PG-13. We always had an R rating in mind." but I trust Hollywood as far as I can throw it. I'm sure there's some Lionsgate exec thinking this film can do what The Dark Knight has done with a PG-13 rating. And I'm betting it's the Dark Knight impact having something to do with this internal battle over the cut of the film. Dark Knight is PG-1…
