According to variety Daniel Day-lewis will be part of Martin Scorsese's upcoming film "Silence". To me, it's already sounding good. Gangs of New York was underated I felt and "The Age of Innocence" wasn't bad either.

Over the last decade true movie fans have seen the decline of two of the most powerful, talented and memorable actors ever. Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro, who for so long could not be questioned or doubted, have turned out some of the biggest piles of crap in the last few years.

It just came out over here and i'm just back from seeing it. I really enjoyed the film. If you liked Black Hawk Down, which this is kinda similar to, then you'll like this. I'd describe it as amodern version of black hawk, but focusing on the people in control of the situation.
I think if the Knightfall story was adapted like this, Chris Nolan could another wonderful job. So let me know what you think and be aware that i'm aware some points are thin and could be more detailed, like one about a certain villain.

If you haven't seen Oldboy, go watch it, and you'll know its been done too well to be remade by Senior Spielbergo. I have a deep love for this movie. Obviously Daniel Craig is the best James Bond actor yet. Unlike everyone else in Ireland I don't believe that it is Pierce Brosnan. So Sean Connery is second in my books. If you think he beats Craig, go see a psychiatrist ya fuck.
However, Connery is the original Bond, and the Bond our minds always track back to when comparing Craig or anyone else.

Dark, funny, haunting and human are just some descriptions I take away from watching In Bruges for the second time. On watching this again I was sceptical that it wouldn't hold up, but I think I saw more of the film this rime than last. Martin McDonagh wrote this and directed it too. It is wonderfully written and Bruges itself seems like a cinematographer's dream.
