The question that I find myself asking is "Could it have been anything else but shit by now?". It's almost sad just how horribly this franchise concept has been mishandled over the years. Even more dumbfounding is the fact that everyone still makes the same mistakes with the concept in the first place.…

There is something about turning 40 that makes you want to reflect on "the good ol' days". And while 40 isn't really that old, there are a few things that you pick up here and there. Ironically, it's kind of surprising how much you really learn from years of TV. Now, of course "Years of TV" means watching a lot of re-runs from the 50's'-60's shows, growing up with the shows from the 70's-80's and cable-TV…

Fuck it. What can I do? I'm just sick and tired of all the Nolanites working overtime to explain how things work.
Look, okay... you win. You love a movie more than I do. Okay, I get it. But for fuck sake at least step back for 2 seconds and acknowledge that there are examples of bad writing in the movie. That doesn't make the overall movie a horrible movie, it just shows that it's NOT the world's greatest piece of cinema. And while we are at it, PLEASE stop trying to "cover up" that…

Okay, look. I know that almost every single one of you are going to say that I'm going to give this movie a negative review "just to be different", or because of the history of my views on The Dark Knight. The truth is, this movie purely relied on "fanboys" to love it that they got lazy with the movie in general.
Let me start off with what I liked about the movie.
Michael Caine as Alfred. I actually liked the direction that they took with this character and the way that…

You know, the more I think about it, the more I wish they would stop making comic-book based movies. Or to be more specific, I wish they would stop making comic-book based movies off of comic-book series, or out of thin air.
To be honest, I don't mean that they should stop…

Well, let's all just take a moment and let out a collective sigh..... Ready? 1......2......3........SSSSIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGHHHHHH!
Well, it seems that maybe sometimes cooler heads actually prevail and we get a release from the endless cycle of bad remakes, needless reboots, super-hyped sequels and insane studio meddling.
First, let's go with last year's "The A-Team" movie.…

You know, it's not often that I say this but I'm actually happy to sit back and watch someone completely loose their damn mind in their own battle of egotistical insanity. It's just funny to me that with the boring Oscars, the laughable "Thumbing of the nose to Hollywood" Razzie awards, lack of anything interesting in theaters for the last couple of weeks and of course, let's not forget the complete internet-rage over Justin Bieber's movie, I finally get something worth watching on TV.....…

Twilight. Yes, the word alone should leave a dirty taste in your mouth. I know that it leaves a bitter taste in mine when I think of the movies. However, I guess now that we are coming to the end of the "Twilight Series", we should really take a moment to thank the people at Summit Entertainment for providing us with several years of good laughs at lack-luster movie making. But can someone really put something like Twilight out without paying some kind of price for such lack-luster movies?…

There was a recent story regarding NewSouth Books releasing a new version of the American Literary classic "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain. While a reproduction of this work is nothing new, it happens almost every year or two. The fact that NewSouth Books is going to replace references to the "N-word" with "Slave", and replacing "Injun" with another description when it comes to describing Native Americans, is something of note. Prior attempts to replace (or remove) these…
