Man, this review is going to look like crap in comparison to Predator's Batman vs. The Terminator blog.
While everyone knew the first
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare would do well in sales, it's hard to say if anyone could have predicted the epic sales of the game. With a well done single-player and a multiplayer experience that rivaled even the mighty
Halo 3, Infinity Ward gave the proverbial middle finger to Treyarch, who took over their role for developers on
Call of Duty 3…

With the somewhat downbeat stories of
Grand Theft Auto IV and
The Lost and Damned, it's nice to see Rockstar opt for a lighter-toned (although not by much given that this is still a GTA IV game) installment to cap off the GTA IV downloadable episodic content with a celebration of explosions and wackos.

Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony…

Wow. Just...just wow. If you thought

If you have talked to me about video games, you may know I ADORE Tim Schafer. Working under Lucasarts to create some of the most memorable games in gaming history (

There are two camps of thought when it comes to opinions about the Halo franchise. Either it's a reinvigorating and innovative FPS that deserves the utmost praise, or the camp which believes that Halo is the unsightly stain on the wedding gown of video games; If you know me, you'll know I fall into the former camp.

After the disappointing single-player in
Halo 3,…

I've been getting pretty damn sick of Batman. From the rabid fanboys slobbering over any information over the sequel to
The Dark Knight to Batman's WTH departure from the comic world (for a while at least), I haven't exactly been deprived of seeing the caped crusader in my life. When I heard that a new video game would star the Dark Knight, I wasn't exactly thrilled since his…

My fellow nerds and Spillions who give a crap, lend me your ears; it's time to realize the truth of this pitiful situation. As you may or may not be aware, graphic novels have become the popular alternative name for a comic book, and honestly I couldn't be more unimpressed at this shift. Do you really think that renaming a medium will make it any more appealing? I don't call video games synergistic novels, except for jesting, because you know what, they aren't!

It seems that Paramount Studios' vice chairman Rob Moore is pushing for a sequel to the $100 million grossed movie, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
According to a recent interview, Moore "confirmed that a sequel will soon go into development. The film's lead actors are contractually obligated to return for another film, though director Stephen Sommers is not."
So, what say you Spillions, do you want to see more adventures of the G.I. Joes…

Let me just say this before I start this review, I am not a fan of Judd Apatow's movies (directed or produced): I think his humor is juvenile and his plots simplistic. That being said,
Funny People was a great movie.
The movie begins with famed comedian George Simmons (Adam Sandler) learning he is dying of a rare form of leukemia. After Simmons begins realizing his actual loneliness…

In appears that director David Twohy has told ShockTIllYouDrop that he and franchise actor Vin Diesel have been in regular talks about making the third installment of the Riddick franchise.
According to Twohy, they will be making a Riddick film that is scaled back to satisfy their craving for an R-rating rather than giving into the studios suggestion of a PG-13 film.
Twohy has been reported to say, "If we do go back to a third one, it…

Well, what do you know? Hell has frozen over. It appears that Iron Man and Wolverine will be making the jump from Western comics to Eastern anime. Announced at comic-con, these initial designs in these teasers are the prototypes for how the show will look like. It appears that they are taking new directions in terms of style.
"Each series will have 12 30-minute episodes and work to establ…

Hello there, muggles and puggles and all the like. Harry Potter is quite the amazing story. The magical sensation that was so powerful, it even got Americans to read. Yeah, THAT powerful. Being developed by Michael Jackson's own company, MJJ productions, the game has apparently been in development for "several months". The game is set to release Christmas 2009 with a plethora of the artist's hit songs. According to the reports, Michael had actually recorded speech and dialogue for the game, though it is unknown if there will be enough to justify not hiring another voice actor to take over the position of Michael's voice…
