I know we all hate remakes, but...

Ok, lets be honest here. Remakes really can go either way. Either they take a dump on the franchise or they revitalize it. There are some films out there that really need some kind of reboot. In these cases, like with last year's The Incredible Hulk, a director can take the best elements of a story and build on them. The following films in my opinion could be remade into absolute classics: The Bone Collector

The Top 5 of 2009 so far

There are a glut of films coming out in the next half of 2009, and I can't wait for some of them. The new Harry Potter movie, Imaginarium Of Dr Parnassus, Bruno, The Hurt Locker, Up (which hasn't come out in the UK yet), and more that I'll list at the end. But so far, at least in my opinion, only six or seven films have been worth a damn this year. I have compiled a top five, really a rough top five, but one that I want to post. This will probably change in a few months, so I will be curious to… Continue

Terminator Salvation Review by Matt 93

>I'm going to be honest here. I had no idea what to expect with this movie. Its a completely different film to the previous trilogy, so what made those movies good might not work as well here in what is essentially a war movie. I went into the theatre blind, which I suppose gave me an element of impartiality. Just to quickly sum up how I felt about the previous three films, I don't really have any major complaints. The first film is an undeniable classic of modern science fiction, and the se… Continue

The Best Trek films - with the new one!

In my first post ever, I gave my opinion on my top 10 Star Trek movies. Now there are 11. So where does the new film go? As promised, the list is back and updated. Also, I've made a couple of changes, cause I have slightly new views on a couple of the films. In my opinion: The Bad 11 - The Final Frontier Can't really say anymore than I did, it still sucks ass. The Fairly Good 10 - Generations This got worse for me. It has dropped from 8th to 10th because… Continue

One Of The Best Games Ever Made

Ilmena.2's blog made me remember a gaming experience that I treasure, that I return to now and again to play for hours at a time. This game is currently on the Playstation 2, and by god it was difficult to get my hands on it. I had to go to three different retail stores to find it, and when I finally succeeded the copy I bought was pre-owned and the last one in stock. The game - Fahrenheit. Or if you're in the US or Canada - Indigo Prophecy.

The Best Star Trek movie - Top 10

This is my first one of these, so I thought I'd meet this subject head-on. This top 10 will become a top 11 in May. I am not a big Trek fan when compared to the guys that dress up, but I enjoy the movies a lot and I watch the TV series when I can. There is varying opinion on the best Star Trek movie, and in my quest to discover which tops the pile I watched all 10 again. There are 3 groups: The classics (8-10/10), the fairly good ones (4-7/10) and the ones that are bad (0-3/10). Most fall into t… Continue

Books into films, by magic!

There are certain books out there that would make some pretty decent movies. The sucess of LOTR, Twilight and the Harry Potter franchise especially have elevated those stories to new highs. There has been the odd shitty failure such as The Dark Is Rising and the idiocy that is Stormbreaker, and films that never lived up to their potential like The Golden Compass. Despite these, there are a number of books and book franchises that I would love to see made into films, provided they are madeContinue

Okay folks, this might have been touched on before on this site, but I must ask what your opinion is. At the beginning of the movie when Kane dies, he, of course, whispers "Rosebud." and dies. Then a nurse comes rushing in. So, the question is: H...
