(Korey and Co-Host insprired me to tell this tale from this week's LDT!)
Okay, I'm a 5'10, Latifah Large Black Woman who doesn't like fish. What the hell was I doing in the land of the rising sun?
Well, I was teaching English for a year. I'd just completed a tour of Europe, and right before that, had graduated University. So I find myself in this the town of Nakatsugawa Japan (2hrs from Nagoya), population of about 50 000. 49 980 of them Japanese.
It was summer, but school was still in in a r… Continue

Well this was a surprise. I did not know, until I saw this trailer, that they were making doing another remake of The Picture of Dorian Gray. Big shoes to fill if it's going to compare to the 1945 version. It does have the chance at potential, however. Being 2009, they can further explore aspects of his character and behaviour, which in 1945 could only barely be hinted at. And Ben Barns is BEEEA-UUU-TIFUL! Visually... perfect casting. Let's just hope his acting… Continue

What do you get when you mix The Running Man with Death Race and (dare I say it) The Lawnmower Man, and stir in a really good actor? A potentially kick back, leave-your-brain-at-home-and-go-enjoy-with-your-friends flick. If done properly, mind you... It's a very fine line between pure action fun and a load of crap. Lets hope this is the former. Continue

High School Musical makes my teeth itch. But this, I think I'll see.... I grew up watching the tv show and absolutley hated that I couldn't go to that high school. I love that Debbie Allen is the prinicpal. It makes me wonder if this is actually a remake, or if it's a sequel. Her name in this is Principal Sims, but the character could've gotten married since we last saw her... Continue
