Hello, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. I'm here to do a top 10 list of my favorite films of 08. 08 has been quite the year for film. Everything to good films (Dark Knight, Wall-E, Let The Right One In, etc) to very bad (The Love Guru, 10000 BC, Meet The Spartans). I hope you enjoy my list of my top 10 of 08. And, before I begin, the Honorable Mention is Iron Man. 10. Cloverfield.

The less you see, the better.

Last night, my mum and I finished up watching the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and I had noticed something about it: It does the tactic of "the less you see, the scarier/creepier it is". I admire that kind of tactic still being used these days, espicaly in a world with Hostel and Saw. So, allow me to go over films that to the tactic. Waring though: The following post contains spoilers from films, so you've been warned. Saw (2004).

[REC]: A review and why I like it more than Quarantine

I like zombies. I like shaky cam films. So, when [REC] was released, I wanted to get my grubby little hands on it and snatch it up. However, thanks to God, I could not find it anywhere. And then I looked it up on IMDB and no release date was set for the film. I was ANGRY! Then I h… Continue

Most PG-13 horror films: Suckvile

With "The Haunting of Molly Hartley" coming up and with the annoying PG-13 rating slapped on it, it's yet another one of these 'horror' films made only for the people who can't handle their R or NC-17 horror. Examples of PG-13 horror films that suck include: One Missed Call (2008) Shutter (2008). Prom Night (2008). Cry Wolf (2005). The Grudge (2004). The Grudge 2 (2006). The Eye (2008). When a Stranger Calls (2006) The Ring Two (2005). Boogyman (2005). And so on and so forth. But I bet you're w… Continue

Hostel or Saw: Pick your poison.

Heh, poison. Heheh, evil tortue. Anyway, with Saw V being released tonight, might as well have both famous tortue franchises go at it.

In the current state that Saw is in now, I lean more towards Hostel. Besides, Hostel, in some cases, has an evil sense of humor. Especially at the end of Part II. However, if y… Continue

Gladiator vs 300: Which one do you like more?

I know it seems like the wrong kind of question to ask, especially when Halloween is coming up, but which one did you like more? For me, it was Gladiator. I love both of these films but I thought Gladiator had more accuracy and a much more deeper story. Still, which one?

or

My top 10 favortie horror films

With Halloween coming up, we need a good scare right? So, if ya need something scary to watch, watch some of my personal choices. 10. Signs.

One of the first films to start this whole chain of annoying PG-13 rated horror films. But, out of the pile, this is one of the few that is on top. Both an scary-ass horror film, a Sci-Fi film and a story about a man who has lost his faith… Continue
