Initially I thought I wouldn't watch that many films for this year's Summer Movie Line-Up but obviously I broke that stance. I think I watched more than the ten movies listed here but one I definitely know isn't going to show up on this list is Terminator Salvation (which disappointed me a lot). This list is just my opinion so ye... Let's Do This!

The premise sounds like any other sci-fi movie, but District 9 puts a twist on its story and makes it unpredictable. I was so enthralled by the documentary style, the violence, the characters (emotionally invested to as well), and the best special effects I've seen in a long time that even these plot holes didn't…

This movie is very funny- there was never a minute when I didn't laugh. Although
Borat is better than
Bruno, I think
Bruno comes close to it. The first 10 minutes set you up on whether or not you should watch the film or walk out of the theater.
Bruno w…

Not a day goes by when a comedy show we're watching is most likely going to offend someone. Shows such as It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, South Park, Family Guy (for all the wrong reasons), and etc. are examples- but none of these shows have the courage to do what Eastbound &…

You know that show
Home Movies where Brendon, Melissa, and Jason would make hundreds of home movies just for the hell of it? And while making those movies they thought it was pure genius? There was an episode towards the end of the entire show where those three realize (or was it just Brendon and Melissa, IDK) that their home movies weren't as good as they thought they were? The reason why I'm using the show
Home Movies as an example is because around the age of 15 and 16 I made a…

I have to admit that I was VERY late to the
Ghostbusters party. I knew that it existed, and the special effects at that time were spectacular, and Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was the chosen Destructor- but I never saw the full film. A week before I knew the game came out already- I rented
Ghostbusters and I was laughing hard at all these lines (partically Bill Murray's of course). Skipping to the end, I bought the Ghostbusters 1 & 2 Set and The Video Game.…

SPOILERS AHEAD
I'm not going to get into what the story of the film is- the point of the review to show how I think the film is a rare gem that I hope won't be forgotten.
There would always be a film that gets attacked by most sides for being too controversial. So…

You know how critics take down notes while watching a movie so that they won't forget what they just saw. They use these notes to remember what to critize when writing or speaking out their review for that movie. Well I took that approach by using the notes I took down as my review.

There are a lot things of Quantum of Solace: The Video Game that make you think the opposite of what the game is overall. It looks like a first-person shooter, but 8/10 of the time you're behind cover in third-person view. Another thing that gets you fooled is the title. I thought, for a sequel that had WAY more action scenes than Casino Royale ended up having less chapters to play. Apparently, Activision decided to have Casino Royale's sequences to be the most of the chapters. One last t…

Looking at the movies that are coming out on October 24th- it made me realize 2 things. One: Spill Crew probably won't be able to review all of them. Two: My sister would come home spazzing out about High School Musical 3. Here are the releases for 10/24/08. Which one will you think will win the box office?
Synecdoche, New York

I find it more and more confusing and stupid when the MPAA a) Removes a video promoting a movie when the footage in it won't be there at all and b) Ban a movie poster that isn't even that dirty or controversial enough.
Well they did so to Kevin Smith's new movie:
Zack and Miri Make A Porno. Almost everyone agrees that the banned movie poster isn't as bad as the 'Good Luck Chuck' poster featuring Dane Cook nude. The poster had the oral-sex-act is shown all the way in the bottom of the pos…

Note: Some spoilers will occur!
When I saw The Spill Crew's review on Step Brothers- I immediately became skeptical on how bad this movie can be. But I got curious sooner or later and watched the film. I actually have to go between Rental and Full Price.

This movie's awesome!
That was the short version. Here's the long version of my review.
Steve Carell is my #1 favorite actor of all time and sure he's made some failures (Sleepover and Evan Almighty) but he's sure made a lot of success (Daily Show, Anchor…

The show, SPACED comes from England which featuring Edgar Wright as director, Simon Pegg as actor, writer, and creator, and Nick Frost as one of the most eccentric characters I've seen on television is finally having a Region 1 DVD release. Simon Pegg describes this show as “a c…

So it's official, "HAN
COCK" is now rated PG-13 for Some Intense Sequences of Sci-Fi Action, and Violence, and Language. But the news ain't over about the movie.
Apparently co-starring actress Charlize Theron was shocked to get slapped by Will Smith on the set of new movie Hancock - as he was only supposed to pretend to hit her. The scene required Smith to raise his hand to Theron and despite practicing a "fake slap", Smith actually smacked her across the face.…

Before you read on, please note I might give minor spoilers. No ending or what happens to any of the characters.

So I got to read the July 10, 2005 draft of the long-delayed comedy,
FANBOYS. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one but okay. I'm going to flat…

Final CORNETTO fflavor?
Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright's final film on their "Three Flavours Cornetto" will be called
THE WORLD'S END. When asked if the film would go at the sci-fi/doomsday theme, Wright said: "It's kind of going in that direction." Other news…

I 've been cleaning room lately since I haven't for a month and a half. I found something that caught my eye- a ripped, dirty Valentine's Day card with my sloppy handwriting enscribed on it. It took me a long time to remember where this came from and then- I made a flashback in my head when I was in Fifth Grade.
In Fifth Grade, I remember my teacher wanted her students and I to make Valentine's Day cards for each and every one of us. Now of course, the students weren't happy to do to the…

Monty Python and The Holy Grail is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time and I'm surprised there aren't a lot of films being made like it.
I took a Social Studies test a few days ago and yesterday my teacher gave me the grade I got. I originally had a 63% which isn't passing but not horribly. HOWEVER, one of the bonus questions that took me by surprise and made me so delighted was...
In Monty Python & The Holy Grail, what did the French castle soldier say Kin…
