Yeah, it's out
Anyways, looks kinda interesting. The music is a lil strange though (Ancient Greek setting with heavy rock in the background). Visually, it looks cool. No story details yet or acting chops are shown. But the film to me has potential. What do you guys think? Continue

So apparently the Fox-Bay feud is going to be settled in the upcoming Transformers 3: Attack of the Explosions. The rumor mill is now spouting that Michael Bay wants to kill of Megan Fox's character in the first few scenes of the next movie to be replaced by an all-new hot (and most likely acting-deficient) star. Bay also wants to take pleasure in this by having her die in the goriest way possible (even… Continue
Well, I suppose it was inevitable. Yes dear friends, it seems Activision, the publisher of the popular video game series, Call of Duty, filed a trademark to reserve the rights to a movie based on the franchise.
Now, I for one have stated several times that video game movies suck and will continue to suck but a little part of me wants this venture to succeed. The reason being is, unlike many… Continue

While I know this isn't really movie news, I am aware that many people on this site are quite familiar with video games. The Guitar Hero franchise is very well known with them as is the rest of the known world. The recent installment, cleverly titled "Guitar Hero 5", has stirred up some controversy via Courtney Love. Last week, she posted several nasty (and pretty much grammatically incorrect)… Continue

District 9 has truly reigned supreme this past weekend. Receiving glowing reviews from the Spill crew and members, and many other film critics, the film has also becoming #1 at the box office making $37 million, already making up profit after its small budget. On IMDB, it has broken through the top 250 list at #78, the fourth film of this year to do so. So with the summer drawing to a close, the question remains: Is District 9 the best film of Summer 2009?
Well, let's look at the other contende… Continue

Rejoice Futurama fans! This is hot off the presses, 20th Century Fox has confirmed with The Star new deals have been signed with the original cast of the show! So far, only Maurice LaMarche ("Kif Kroker"/Additional Voices) has confirmed on his Facebook that he is going back to work for Futurama. The deals with the rest of the cast is still imminent, but will most likely end well by the end of the day!

So in case you missed the news, Fullmetal Alchemist has a brand new anime series that started up a few months ago, and is 16 episodes old this week. After seeing every episode and noticing that hardly anyone else on the internet is yapping about it, I felt it's something I can share with all the anime watchers here on Spill.
So first things first: what the hell is the show? In essence, it's a retelling of the entire series. Those who payed attention to both the 1st anime and manga (which is sti… Continue

The death of Michael Jackson has been making shock waves in the American news outlets. Every single day we have CNN and Fox dishing out the latest details on MJ's funeral arrangements, fan reactions, will readings, etc. We see people all around bawling their eyes out over the famous singer and making their own private tributes to the man. The question I want to pose: is this really necessary?
It's been 12 days already, and Michael Jackson's death has been the buzz on every news outlet. None of… Continue

Like this was inevitable. As everyone is still passing harsh judgment (deservedly) on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the fact remains that it has already made enough revenue to break even of its extremely bloated $200 million budget. This of course means that Transformers 3 is on the way with more Michael Bay action that you can think of, right? Wrong. Michael Bay has said that he would like a break from the fighting robots, and he already has two other projects in the film mill. Paramount… Continue
For the past four years, we have been hearing about James Cameron's pet project, Avatar (no not the film based on the Nickelodeon show). With secret titles, hints from people who've seen bits and pieces, news of a highly-advanced special effects never-before-seen, the hype is certainly growing before a trailer, nay a teaser, has even been shown. With the tentative release date pushed back all the way till December 18, 2009; the general movie going public is hardly even aware of this film's exist… Continue

With the recent news that Captain America (the real one: Steve Rogers) is soon going to be resurrected, it reminded me of the plague that has been haunting the comic book industry for the past few decades: the death and resurrection of iconic characters. It has happened to Superman, Jean Grey, and… Continue
You read that correctly, according to Variety, the creator of the popular gameshow from the 90s, John Ferraro, wants to bring a live-action adaptation of the series to the silver screen.
According to the producer attached to the film, Legendary's Scott Mednick, the goal is to create… Continue

For all you video game lovers, and anyone who has paid attention to the industry for the past decade, this is is some heavy news. 3D Realms, the developer of the popular Duke Nukem series, is officially closing its doors by the end of the week. Its publisher, Take-Two (the same one who publishes the Grand Theft Auto Series), announced that it is cutting funding for the company and retaining the rights to publish the sequel to the popular… Continue
Hey you know what would be a ridiculous idea? One of the most controversial and successful hip-hop celebrities ready to release his fifth-best selling album and appearing alongside one of Marvel's goofiest and most violent characters. And thus we have Eminem/Punisher: Kill You.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine came out recently and brought with it so many inconsistencies, plot holes, cliche writing, and poor effects that it should have just stayed as a free film on the internet. Now while many, especially members of the Spill Crew, blame 20th Century Fox for this debacle, I say they are not the only ones at fault. No dear friends, sadly the other (main) perpetrators to Wolvie's bad flick are fanboys....
A fanboy, according to Wikipedia, is "a term used to describe any… Continue
What's up Spill nation, a couple of months ago I posted on the site the 1st trailer for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum game coming to the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. While the story is a great concept, people have been wondering how it will play. The trailer below will answer your question
After reading Mike's "How to Save Superman", I have to say that I don't think the Superman franchise can be revived in the quality film realm. While Mike raises several excellent points about the poor dire… Continue
For all you G.I. Joe fans out there, if you weren't already excited for the brand new G.I.Joe: Rise of Cobra movie coming this summer, get ready for another surprise. According to IGN, Hasbro announced that they are bringing a new animated mini-series titled "G.I. Joe: Resolute" to be distributed exclusively online through of all places, Adult Swim.com… Continue
Just found this out, apparently that Zack Snyder's "Watchmen" has passed the budget line and has started making profit (after all the litigation, trailers, payments, etc.). Warner Bros., in its attempt to secure more franchises with the Harry Potter series coming to an end, is now commissioning Snyder to produce a SECOND Watchmen film.
According to Snyder the film will focus on Nite Owl II and Silk Spectre II planning a desperate mission to expose Ozymandius' conspiracy of using Dr. Manhattan t… Continue
