A Look at X-Men: Days Of Future Past and What To Expect

X-Men Days of Future Past is probably one of the best and most influential time travel stories ever created.  So much so that it has been revisited, tribute and ripped off too many times to count.  It’s probably the second most famous X-Men story ever written, (right after the Dark Phoenix…

The Avengers - An In Depth Review

WARNING: This review contains MAJOR spoilers

It’s good.  It’s really good.  It is probably the best crossover in cinema history.  It’s also kind of by the numbers.  Never did I feel a sense of…

13 Rules to Follow When Watching Movie Adaptations

Everyone, stop.

Just stop talking about how much better the book is than the movies.

Nine times out of ten, maybe more, the book will be better.  We get it.  But books are of a medium that is completely different from movies.  Come to think of it, movies are different than television shows.  Why?  Because films don’t have the luxury of time on their side.  Modern films have a maximum total of just over three hours to compress what may take days to finish from their…

Why The Newest Harry Potter Film Is The Worst One!

This Article is Spoiler Free (for the latest movie at least.)

There is no nice way to put this.  I did not like this movie.  It’s not a bad movie.  I’m not saying avoid this movie.  But to me, this movie was on part with Star Wars: Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith.

WHAT?!  You can’t say that about Harry Potter!

Well I just did.

When long lasting…

Green Lantern: What Went Wrong

To start this article off, I think I should admit my bias, I’m a Green Lantern fan.  I’m not a fanatic.  I recognize that there needs to be major changes from the source material when adapting it to film.  The question is, will those changes help or hinder the character’s appeal to a mass…

Captain America, FUCK YA!

This poster has been revealed at comicbookmovies.com and will be making its debut at Hero Complex film festival.  (The poster, not the movie.) It was made by Paolo…

Are Television Shows Replacing Books?

“If you want to get ahead in this life, read books.” At least that’s what my parents used to tell me.  “Don’t watch TV, there is nothing but garbage on it.” was another saying my parents often repeated.

However, I mainly grew up in the 90’s, and television was harder to follow back…

Review of When Captain Kirk Met Lucifer

To all those who hate it when the title gives away the twist, sorry.

But I couldn't resist, and chances are this title is the best way to get you to watch this video.

I thought that with the LEOG's podcast about the Devil this week, that some of you might get a kick out of this.

Back in the early 1970's, the cast of the original Star Trek reunited to continue their characters' adventures in cartoon form.  The problem is that no one…

What If I Wrote...The Highlander Reboot

As mentioned in an earlier article, Highlander is one of the franchises that could really benefit from a reboot.  But the first movie is good enough that there is really no reason to just retell the story with just… Continue

Thoughts on the Highlander Reboot

So, word is that they are planning to reboot the Highlander series, and all initial results point to it being a disaster, but hey, J.J. Abram’s Star Trek looked pretty disastrous right up until the…

Is it Time to Reconsider Copyright?

If the concept of the library was created today, it would probably be illegal.  Libraries were invented in ancient times to copy and store information for scientists and philosophers to use.  Visiting scholars would visit other cities, copy scrolls of interest and back to their city where the process would be repeated.

Today, if such an action was taken, the owner of the scroll being copied would be brought to court and charged for spreading that information.  Thankfully,…

Our First Look At X-Men First Class

Oh, look, another Superhero movie from Fox.  Fox doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to Superhero movies, especially when it comes to Marvel Superhero movies.  They did the underwhelming Fantastic Four, the Daredevil film, (the Theatrical version,) and of course the X-Men films.

Out of all of these Marvel films, the X-Men ones have been by far there most profitable, and overall, the most critically acclaimed.

So…

Let's Look Back at: The Duck Tales Pilot

Nostalgia with me Spill.

This is a video review I put together of one of my favorite shows as a kid.

I went over 13 years without seeing the show, then I decided to go back and watch the pilot, which led to me making this review about it.

I was surprised with how the show holds up.

Also, the challenge I have at the end is an honest one. I want to see better animation, post the links if you got…

The Walking Dead: Season One Review

This review contains very minor spoilers.

This show; for years we’ve been waiting for a television show about zombies. It seemed logical, you could have a rotating cast, the zombie effects didn’t have to be good to be frightening, and if you avoided abandoned cities, it would be cheap to make.…

An AVENGERS MOVIE PLOT (VIDEO)

This is a video of the plot I posted on this site a long while back.

I'd like to know what Spill members think of this type of video.

Constructive feedback is welcomed.

Oh yes, if you remember my last plot, you may notice that I am regurgitating the plot word for word.

I never explain the names in the video, so below is a list of the characters I mentioned.

Why Aren’t You Reading This? The Walking Dead

If you have been following this series, than you have no need to read the rest of this article, however, if you haven’t, there is almost no excuse.

The Walking Dead is produced by Image Comics and tells of what happens to the survivors of the zombie outbreak after civilization

fell. Currently,… Continue

My Rifftrax for Casper The Friendly Ghost

Here it is, one of the beloved short cartoons from your childhood, which is just annoying or creepy by today's standards. Don't worry, I threw my equally annoying voice over those parts and made obscure references and messed up jokes.

This one is more comedic and less informational than my Superman commentaries.

To the best of my knowledge, the original short is in public domain, so this is legal to… Continue
