50/50 is one of the best films of the year.
The one thing I was most happy to find in 50/50 was heart. Making a comedy about a guy who gets cancer is kind of risky, especially when you put Seth Rogen in a significant role. You don’t want to focus too much on the laughs while completely glossing over the seriousness of cancer. Writer Will Reiser does a fantastic job coming up with a perfect balance of gut-busting laughs and truly sincere characters to feel for. And with the direction…
