Synopsis:
The IMF is shut down when it’s implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, causing Ethan Hunt and his new team to go rogue to clear their organization’s name and stop a nuclear war between Russia and the US in the process.
Things I Liked:
Mission Impossible is a series that benefits from having movies that stand alone while each having something that ties them to the previous ones. Because of this people that…

Radioactive (Introduction): Over minimalistic and sparse production featuring only drums and tame synths Yelawolf shows off his unique rap style as he spits flames on this intro track. Does a good job of giving new listeners a taste of what their in for and reminds old listeners why Yelawolf is one of the most promising up and comers in the rap game. (4/5)

For those of you that know me you know that I’m a sucker for mass scale war flicks, especially those set in the old Roman/Greek era, so the moment I saw the trailer for Immortals I knew that I was gonna be seeing it when it came out. The was a second reason I had my eye on this project though and that’s Henry Cavill. For those that don’t know, he’s our new Superman but unless you’ve seen The Tudors (which I haven’t) he’s been pretty under the radar for most of his career…

In Time is a movie set in an undisclosed time in the future where the term “time is money” has literally become a reality. At the age of 25 one’s time inheritance kicks in and from that moment on they have to accumulate time in order to stay alive. In New Greenwich (where the upper class resides) this is no issue at all but in Dayton (the ghetto) everyone literally lives minute to minute not known if they’ll even make it through the day. The movie follows Will Salas (Justin…

Cherrybomb follows two friends Luke (played by Robert Sheehan) and Malachy (Rupert Grint) who after meeting Malachy’s boss’ daughter, Michelle (Kimberley Nixon), they engage in a contest to see who can gain her attention and ultimately her affection first. What starts off as a friendly competition ends up becoming much deeper and darker as their lives collectively spiral out of control.

Have you ever had a boss that you hated so much that you just wanted them to cease to exist? Well Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudekis take that wish and make it a reality…or at least try to. Horrible Bosses (for those who don’t already know) follows 3 friends who are completely fed up with their terrible bosses and after a night of drinking come up with the brilliant idea to actually go out and get them killed. After a few failed plans they end up in a bar on the…

This is gonna be a short one folks because it’s been a long day and I’m tired lol. Anyways, I admittedly went into Real Steel with low expectations and ended eating my words and witnessed the surprise of the year in my opinion. The CGI is extremely well done, the fights are undeniably fun to watch and the father/son relationship really grows on you due to the on-screen chemistry between Hugh Jackman and young up and comer Dakota Goyo. While it may be…

So I FINALLY got around to sitting down and watching The Wrestler (yes I know I'm late as hell) and after seeing it I'll forever beat myself up for not seeing it sooner. I'll give a brief synopsis for those that don't know. The Wrestler is the story of Randy "The Ram" Robinson, a legendary wrestler who in his heyday was referred to as one of the greatest to ever do it, who 20 years after his glory days is forced to do small time wrestling gigs in school gyms and work at a…

Inspired by a true story, 50/50 follows a young man named, Adam Learner (played by Joseph Gordon Levitt), who lives a relatively normal life living with his girlfriend, Rachel (Bryce Dallas Howard) and spends his days at work or hanging out with his best friend/co-worker, Kevin (Seth Rogan). Adam had been dealing with back pains for a while so one day he decides to go to the doctor’s to get checked out only to discover that the back pains stem from a rare type of cancer…

I was meaning to do this directly at the end of summer but I completely forgot so I'm doing it now. Plus it's my blog and I do what I want!
1. Drive: This movie is the pure embodiment of the word "cool". A stylistically brilliant film that serves as a love letter to 60s cop dramas and 80s European car films. A phenomenally oddball fusion of a Micheal Mann, Takeshi Miike and Stanley Kubrick film with Ryan Gosling putting on a performance that would make Steve McQueen proud.…

So about a week ago I said that Warrior was the best movie that I’ve seen in 2011. Well after seeing Drive I’m forced to knock that down to second place because this movie was damn brilliant. Ryan Gosling is an extremely talented young actor who’s known by most of the world for making women…

Warrior takes elements and plot devices from previous sports/fight movies and does them even better and more effectively. On the outside looking in it's just an MMA movie but it's really a movie about family with an MMA setting. Even though the fighting in this movie is masterfully filmed and viciously choreographed, it's the heart behind…

Aside from the obnoxiously long title, I thought that Rise Of The Planet of the Apes was fantastic almost solely due to a magnificent performance by Andy Serkis as Caesar. There were several occasions that I almost teared up due to his amazing character. It was pretty obvious that we were supposed to feel for the apes and their mistreatment but they did such a good job that I was eating it all up like it was a completely new concept. The only negative thing about the…
