I like zombie films. In fact, I love zombie films, in particular I love the classic ‘Dead’ trilogy that came from the awesome mind of the Deadfather, George A. Romero. Hell, I even like 'Land of the Dead'. It’s a fun entry into the series. Sure, it’s not up to the greatness of those first three but it’s enjoyable none the less and it really only missed one trick and that is that it should have had Bob Hoskins in it. Then it would have been an awesome 'Super Mario Bros' reunion. Who wouldn’t have… Continue

Today I got some luck. Sat down with a 'cougar' out of necessity since there weren't any seats available at Barnes & Noble. I thought asked if she was leaving, but she said no and said we could share. I said okay.
We had great 1 hour or two chat about books, food, art, music (Jimi Hendrix), and leaving the clean life. I know lots of stuff that she could relate to. I knew stuff her age group loved, because I am well read and appreciate all the things most ladies at book stores do: knowledge.… Continue

I got some Zombie Messiah dating updates. 12-1-09 = 0 - 2
Asked girl out I was working on project for college class with about the imporatance of having a Social Phobia Group as part of the mental health system.
After I (and some dude manning the powerpoint) nailed the presentation while bringing her out of her shell a little by making her speack about some slides....
I was shot down after I asked her out after class....I went to my car, bit into a Japanese toothpick, and played 'Foxy Lady' on… Continue

With four horror pictures under his belt, Rob Zombie is starting to feel that audiences may be pigeonholing him somewhat. Though he’s currently on tour and has a new album out at the beginning of February, he’s obviously already at work on his potential next projects and is hoping to mount something to break our preconceptions of him a little.
So, to that end, he’s said once again that he’s hopeful his underground fighter film Tyrannosaurus Rex will be the next Rob Zombie… Continue

Shoot and torture and mutilate and flambé and atomise and dissect and cannibalise and behead and lobotomise and sodomise and force feed faeces to ANYONE that spoils the cameo in this movie.
Outside of the much talked about cameo it's actually a pretty good film despite Jesse Eisenberg’s best Mi… Continue

Welcome to Zombieland! Population: You! Well it would be nicer if it was just you but instead you’re also tossed into the company of four complete nincompoops.

Yeah, I've been absent lately. Been really busy with college, writing my screenplays and spending time with my girlfriend. But I've also been watching a lot of movies lately, so here's a review of one I thought would be worth mentioning: ======
Review: The Haunted World of El Superbeasto
Now I want to make it clear that I do not hope for a zombie apocalypse (which would result in the deaths of hundreds of millions), that would be dickish. It's just at this point a zombie plague does not seem that sci-fi. A study came out recently that was done by REAL Canadian pathologists and epidemiologists about how fast a zombie plague can spread. Their findings came to the conclusion that if the plague is no… Continue
Let me preference this review by saying that I am a huge animation fan and a bigger fan of adult-oriented animation (what little there is). And by adult, I'm not just aiming along the lines of 9 and Animatrix; I'm talking full-on nudity, cussing, violence, gore, and adult situations. HOWEVER, just because I'm for that kind of animated movie doesn't mean I just want those elements randomly thrown in with… Continue

Halloween II 0 Stars out of **** Spill Rating: F*** YOU!
I feel betrayed right now. Rob Zombie's Halloween may not have been very good but I defended it against the fan boys of the franchise. I didn't care that they changed the backstory or made Michael Myers a towering behemoth, I was just happy… Continue
Time and time again Rob Zombie has proven that he is one creative and talented musician/artist/filmmaker. I wasn't a fan of House of 1,000 Corpses, but the visuals were great in the film. I think that Devil's Rejects is a far superior film than Corpses and I actually dug the 2007 Halloween Remake. It was a different vibe and feel and I applauded Zombie for trying something different and not simply reh… Continue
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers **1/2 out of **** Spill Rating: MATINEE!
After Season of the Witch flopped it 1982, the Halloween franchise was dead in the water. While Michael Myers lied dead, Jason and Freddy were dominating the Cineplex and were making huge profits. So in 1988, producer Moustap… Continue
Welcome to Video Game Equivalent, where I try to find you an equal to a movie, book, show, or comic in video game form.

Hello,
What type of Horror movie do you refuse to watch? Be it because of the director, actors, or type.
I refuse to watch 'Evil Kid' movies. I am referring to the recent ones: The Uninvited, The Unborn, The Orphan, etc. I especially don't watch if for some reason the evil kid doesn't have any super natural powers or is not a trained killer. If they were a spoof, comedy, or a classic (instant or ground) I would watch the… Continue

Horror is one of the most versatile genres in cinema that we know. There are numerous subgenres of the horror genre for any horror geek to enjoy depending on their tastes. Along with these different approaches, there are the films that perfectly encapsulate that sub-genre. These films could be the perfect choice to show a horror newbie a good introduction to the genre. Let's take a look at some of these:
Slasher: A psychopath, usually with a mask, stalks unsuspecting victims at a isolate… Continue
