The Grey Review

No other film has had such an appropriate title in quite a while and not just in terms of the actual story itself but of the story behind the story in this particular case. Sure, the film is heavy in terms of its philosophical ideas and the dire situations that it pits against its main characters but it also delivers on the visceral aspect of a slow-burning roller coaster through the Alaskan wilderness as a pack of wolves track down the remaining survivors of a plane crash one by one. While…

Gomez Reviews The Grey

Warning! This review contains spoilers!

Greetings readers. I've decided I'm going to take a crack at written reviews instead of video ones. Reason being that the video reviews take quite a bit of time to create. Being a college student, I am not blessed with the gigantic amount of time that I used to have. Written reviews take considerably less time, and I can express myself more thoroughly through words rather than speaking, since my voice gets incredibly shaky while recording. So,…

The Grey - EARLY REVIEW!

Hello, fellow Spillios! Tonight I was fortunate enough to catch a special early screening of Liam Neeson's latest you-wish-you-were-as-manly-as-me vehicle, The Grey. Now, we've all seen the exciting trailer that culminates with Neeson, glass-covered knuckles ready, about to face off with the biggest, baddest wolf outside of grandma's house. But what you will be surprised (pleasantly, I hope) to hear is that, vicious wolves aside, The Grey is a far more melancholy and somber…

Red Band Trailer For 'The Grey'

I was already excited to see Joe Carnahan's man-vs-nature action film 'The Grey,' but this new red band trailer has me unhealthily pumped. We didn't really need more evidence that Liam Neeson is a badass, but this red band trailer provides…

New Trailer For 'The Grey'

Even if a new (and utterly badass) trailer for 'The Grey' hadn't hit the web this weekend, and even if I didn't know it was directed by Joe Carnahan who gave us 'The A-Team' (which I unabashedly love), a four-word description of the…

A little rant on the AVATAR hate

Let me being by saying that I don't think that everyone should like this movie. I know we all have our opinions, and it's all right to have them, but most of the negative criticism I hear from people about this movie is really annoying me. The complaints I'm hearing are about as unoriginal as they're claiming the movie to be. That complaint being "Avatar is just Dances With Wolves with blue people." Now how did you come up with that? Did you see Avatar and think, "This seems a lot like…

So We've been watching a lot of bad movies over at our place and I have been posting some review on the last place comics forum. Seeing as spill loves their reviews so much and there's only 19 ppl at the forum I thought i'd post them here as well. Let me know what you think!
