Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes Review

Rating-Some Ole' Bullsh*t!!   Star Wars the Clone Wars Republic Heroes sucks my balls. Very rarely have I seen such poor design in a video game, let alone a Star Wars video game. While the animated movie was horrible, I’ve been really enjoying the animated series, so I figured that…

Understanding Kinect and Motion Control

Hey Spillers, I am Mr. Game Player otherwise known as Nick and welcome to my first official post and also my tryout to be hired by the Spill crew! Nah -nah the last one was a joke.. *wink* Right so let us begin!

Understanding Motion Control

As we saw recently in the Loading Bar's and pretty much every other gaming journal's review, has stated: Steel BATTALION SUCKS!

Yet, when the game first showed its face, the promise to SBS(sounds like a STD)…

Thoughts on Nintendo's "Project Cafe"

Hello everyone, this is my first blog post, so if you're reading this, please take it easy on me in the comments.

I know everyone is gonna beat me up for saying this, but the Nintendo Wii has EASILY won this generations console war. The console has been on sale since December 2006 and in that time it has sold 86 Million units. The PS3 and Xbox 360 are both at approximately 50 million units sold, so you can see the difference. I know some people say that "sales" are not the best way…

Welcome (Back) to the Jungle: A Review of Donkey Kong Country Returns

Hey there punks, Heavy D here with another review for you!

In my last post (Sonic Speed Light Show: A Review of Sonic Colors, check it out please!!!) I mentioned that there is a mild case of Wii neglect here on Spill. Like I said before, it's not anybody's fault in particular. Most of the highly anticipated games are on the 360 or the PS3 so they're going to get the lion's share of the…

My Top 5 Video Games of 2010

Yes indeed that time of year has come again when we prepare to drink ourselves into a barely concious stupour to celebrate another uneventful year and ring in the next unevitably boring year. Looking back on the year in video games we have had some excellent releases however there has disapointingly not been an outpouring of new and exciting franchises. Some honourable mentions that didn't quite make the list would have to be Vanquish, a delightfully crazy japanese 3rd…

Sonic Speed Light Show: A Review of Sonic Colors

Hey there punks! Heavy D here, assaulting your eyes with a game review!

I love The Loading Bar, but I've noticed that there's a bit of an imbalance between PS3/360 games and Wii games. I don't blame the guys because a lot of the higher-profile games are on those two systems. While it is understandable, it is unfortunate because a lot of great games on the Wii get overlooked. Thankfully, a Spill…

Disney's Epic Mickey Opening Cutscene - Disney's Dark Side Comes Out!

Okay, after watching that, who doesn't want them to just scrap the video game and turn this into a full-length theatrical feature? Hand drawn, of course. I guess we'll have to wait to see how the game's story actually pans out before considering making this into a film.

Here's what we know about the story of Epic Mickey. Way back in the day, Mickey's mirror opened up a portal to Yensid's workshop. He unwittingly created a monster currently… Continue

E3: Wii

When I heard that Nintendo was getting a 2hr time slot, I began to think

of the many new

games/consoles that we could see that day. I already knew that we would

see the 3rd gen

DS, also known as the 3DS,

but who can talk about a hand held for 120 min. I crossed my fingers as the

live stream began, hoping that Nintendo ( A company I genuinely love ) would redeem themselves after

rather… Continue

Production Art from Epic Mickey

If you didn’t think Disney could go dark, well, you were half right. The concept art phase of the Epic Mickey video game has passed, and the project is now into production. As such, to help build hype for the Wii-exclusive game, production art has been released. If you have a subscription to GameInformer, you’ve already seen… Continue

Top 5 Video Games that SHOULD be Made into movies

With the recent announcement of an Asteroids movie I got to thinking, what other classic gaming franchises could make a kick ass movie? I know that most video game movies so far have been piles of dog shit but I still have hope that if the right franchises are done well (and not made by fox) video game adaptions could be really awesome. So I compiled this quick list to display my top 5 choices:

5. Jak & Daxter…

Shia LaBeouf Hates Wii

Look what just popped out today on the news about Labeouf.

Funny thing isn't that he hates the wii 'couse he thinks is for amateurs, but he said this just before

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the Wii game is put on stores. I mean, nobody was going to buy that game anyway but, dude, come on.

Oh well, I will just play Punch-out with Megan. I bet she doesn't mind sweating.…

Queen Elizabeth to be gifted "The Royal Wii"

Well, this makes the one I gave Cyrus look like piss change now...

Source: Yahoo! Games - Plugged In

The Nintendo Wii has positioned itself as the gaming console for everybody. As it turns out, that includes the Queen of England. Well, sort of. It's not like Her Royal Highness went down to Wal-Mart and bought one with her summer job savings. Rather, she was given a special… Continue

Thoughts on OnLive and why it won't stop the console wars!

Last night at GDC 2009. The team behind Quicktime, and some of the 80’s Macintosh, had been working on a secret project that took them 7 years to make, known as OnLive. Which keeping this revolutionary project under wraps is as amazing as the project itself. OnLive is supposed to create a new way of gaming and away we can receive our games On-Demand. Much like Netflix’s Instant Watch, OnLive will bring the latest’s games through streaming, known as Cloud Gaming; through our TVs,… Continue
