The Game Comes Full Circle...
I can remember walking out of
Saw V last year, and I hate to say it...but I was pretty disappointed. The film just didn't deliver the goods. It's narrative and so called twist made the wa…

"If It's Halloween...It Must Be Saw"

I'm sure you've heard that line at least once within the last five years. It's almost impossible to go through the Halloween holiday without seeing some reference to the
Saw…

Latinoreview.com interviewed Fox about the ID4 sequel and Roland's role as its director. Fox said that they are completely for it and the project all depends on Roland. LR then interviewed Roland. He said that he has a story, but Fox has been stalling over recasting Will Smith who is essential. I'm guessing after the success of 2012 (we all know regardless of the reviews people will see it), Fox will change its tune and allow ID4-2 to go forward unhindered.…

Dogma Review

My rating: Rental.

Kevin Smith's fourth film is set in motion by two banished angels, Loki (Matt Damon), the angel of death, and Bartleby (Ben Affleck), a Gregorian. After an eternity in Wisconsin, they've discovered a loophole in new Catholic doctrine that would…

Chasing Amy Review
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 91%
My rating: Full Price!!

When asked my favourite Kevin Smith film I’m always undecided. Is it the realistically depicted, simple tale of twenty-something shop workers housing some of the best multi-tonal humour that is ‘Clerks’, or is it the softer, qui…

This is something that has been on my mind you years. This generation of movies such as "Tranformers," "G.I Joe: Rise of Cobra," the "Star Wars" prequels, and many others today, rely heavily on computer animation instead of hard working effects that can look great and get the job done if done right. Sure, there are times where it is not possible to make some of the effects with a computer, I do not know anybody with an autobot or a Millennium Falcon, but when it is necessary, why not add some ar…

Jerome Bixby worked on this film for almost forty years; finishing just before he passed away in 1998. The Man from Earth (2007) is his final work of a long successful career including writing for Twilight Zone and Star Trek.
I consider it a sleeper as it is not widely known and when you start it you are somewhat skeptical the film will even be worth finishing. How wrong and pleasantly surprised was I, now considering it by far as my favorite sci-fi films of all time. The acting is exceptional…

Adam Sandler turns in his best performance to date in Reign Over Me (2007) as Charlie Fineman. Charlie leads a secluded life after the sudden death of his wife and children on 9/11. He rides his motor scooter around the city drowning out the world around him with his headphones always on listening to classic music. Spending time playing video games and finding new records for his collection keep his mind from remembering. Charlie lives a free life doing what...…

Park Chan Wook (my favorite director), the man that brought us "The Vengeance Trilogy" is about to reveal his vision of everyone's favorite, blood-sucking, soulless creatures!
He even takes time to give us his take on the American remake of his classic film "OLDBOY".

DPS, more commonly known as
Disney Princess Syndrome, is a problem which affects many, many Disney Princesses (as I'm sure you're no doubt aware having read the name). The symptoms are common, always present in the patient and, sadly, are very contagious. The Syndrome itself is most commonly found among the Disney brand but is present in most forms of media which cater to the female sex (no giggling!). The symptoms include a single parent, anorexia (or unhealthy bodies), virginity…

With the film and the original manga well-known for their disturbing themes — a crucial plot point involves incest — and graphic violence, is the typically family-friendly Spielberg up to the task of staying true to the dark,…

Kevin Smith's 2008 film Zack and Miri Make a Porno could potentially be a second universe within Kevin Smith's movies. We have Askewniverse made famous first by 1994's Clerks, and for the first time, Kevin Smith has made a film outside of that universe that's good enough to be able to actually start it's own saga. With Kevin Smith's trademark dirty jokes, conversations that have no point or go nowhere, and protagonists with not a hell of a lot of redeeming qualities to them, this film could pote…
