Hey Guys! I just got a new HDTV LCD set and I decided to take it upon myself to recommend some Blu-rays! These are films that I own on Blu-ray or have seen in person and they all tend to blow me away with the quality. So check em out!

Blade Runner (1982)
For this film being nearly 20 years old, you can tell that Ridley Scott put his bloo…

Accents: that bane of actors throughout the world both in theatre and in film. They can sell or sink any performance. However, there is no accent more maligned, more butchered, more viciously fucked up on film than the Irish accent.

It's Hollywood tested!
As some point or…

SOUTH SHORE @ THE CINEMAS:
The Spirit Reviewed
Luke Veinot
The Spirit is not a great movie. It’s not bad either. I found it entertaining overall but a closer look reveals only a few minor mistakes by rookie director writer
Frank Miller. He shows up critcs by not killing one single female. For the first time ever.

Frank Miller, comic artist and writer of such recognizable works as
Sin City and
300…

According to IGN, who have been getting some pretty awesome exclusives recently, in their interview with Frank Miller, co-director and creator of the source material, Sin City 2 could see production starting as early as next April.
Yeah, sick, I know.

I really liked the first one, but I wouldn't put it up there amongst my favorites of all-time. Who's excited…

I have never been such a huge geek. If I was, I would have read Alan Moore's most celebrated graphic novel, Watchmen a long long time ago. As much as I'm a huge movie geek, I'm not a big comic book geek and some comic book and graphic novel series were introduced through film adaptations like Sin City and 300. Thus I heard a lot of claims and recommendation everywhere, calling a graphic novel called Watchmen, the greatest graphic novel to be ever made. With all the fuss that every nerds around t…

With the summer of the superhero movies over and an extreme amount of boredom overcoming me in the wee hours of the morning I began to ponder, with more and more comic book adaptations coming out where do the current films stand. How high has the bar truely been risen for all upcoming comic book flicks? So here be my list, love it, hate it, or debate it... it's up to you.

If you asked most people what the is the best Batman story is they would answer "The Dark Knight Returns", the you would ask them what is the worst Batman story they have ever read the most commen answer is "The Dark Knight Strikes Again." We all know that Heath Ledger basically kicked ass as the Joker, no question. Better than Jack Nicholson and his egotistical ass. Let's not forget Mr. Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark) himself who gave a fantastic performance, as well. These thoughts got me wondering: "Who has been perfectly cast as their graphic novel counter-part?" I then decided to pile together a list of my top ten favorite actors who portrayed characters in comic-book based movies (sans
