Spectacular New 'Prometheus' Image

While the whole "prequel/not prequel" hullabaloo continues, one thing about Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus' is quite clear, this film is going to be seriously epic. Today, a new image from the film hit the web thanks to its own viral site Weyland Industries. The image shows what is supposedly the star map control room on the ship…

New Pic Of Jaden Smith In 'After Earth'

The concept of 'After Earth,' the sci-fi film starring Will Smith and his son Jaden, continues to intrigue me just as much as the fact that M. Night Shyamalan is directing it fills me with dread. Recently, …

New 'Lock-Out' Trailer

I'd been hearing people talk about 'Lock-Out,' the sci-fi film co-written by Luc Besson, but I hadn't seen any real marketing for it. Then, just last night, at a screening of 'The Grey,' I saw the brand new trailer, which evidently features more…

New 'Iron Sky' Trailer

Another of my most geekily anticipated films of 2012 is 'Iron Sky,' the film featuring a plot that suggests that a faction of the Nazi party fled to the moon after WWII, set up a colony, and are now returning to reclaim the Earth. I first saw the proof-of-concept fundraiser trailer during Fantastic Fest in 2008 and I was duly intrigued. Now, finally, we get a more informative trailer. This new trailer also features…

The film is about a…

Several New 'Hunger Games' Images

'The Hunger Games,' one of 2012's most anticipated new films, is creeping closer and closer to its March release date. While we are still a couple of months removed from its arrival in theaters, we can satisfy our craving for director Gary Ross' sci-fi flick, based on the novel by…

Awesome New Poster For 'The Darkest Hour'

If there is one thing I appreciate, it's horror around the holidays. The idea of one of the most peaceful, joyous times of the year corrupted by terror and bloodshed is a juxtaposition I truly enjoy. Not sure what that says about me, but it certainly seems to be factoring into the marketing campaign for 'The Darkest Hour.' Summit Entertainment's sci-fi/horror film has just released this new poster…

Montreal To Be The Epicenter Of 'Robopocalpyse'

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, Canada will be the harbinger of robotic doom. Actually I've never said that, not even once. But apparently Steven Spielberg sees the robo-chaotic potential our neighbor to the north…

In Time Review

The Robin Hood story meeting Bonnie & Clyde meeting The Fugitive meeting classic '70s sci-fi noir is a lot better than how it sounds. This movie is actually better than some people are saying because the script and story is solid and it has a lot of really good ideas. The problem with this film is the directing and the editing because it's longer than it should be and the pacing isn't awful but it definitely could've picked it up in order to keep the suspense going for…
