This summer movie season for me was a hit and miss for me. Though there were a few movies I did enjoy, this summer movie season was nothing short of mediocre. Transformers 2 was enjoyable, Star Trek was amazing, District 9 was orgasmic, and G.I. JOE, just flat-out blew a big fat one. Usually every summer there has been one movie that I cannot wait to come out. And sad to say, besides District 9 and Star Trek, nothing this summer really peaked my interest. With the 2009 summer movie season coming…

Let me start off by saying that I love the hell out of wrestling. I have ever since I first saw it in '05. Now, I'm sure that there are plenty of people out there who have been lifelong fans, and it's those people I envy the most. Those people are fortunate enough to have a better understanding of it than I ever will.
I never had cable as a kid. We only had it for approximately 9 months during my 8th grade year. Don't ask me why, my parents are just like that. Anyway. It was a few months after…

The Wrestler is the story about Randy "The Ram" Robinson, a retired wrestler making his way through the independent circuit, trying to get back in the game for one final showdown with his former rival. Directed by Darren Aronofsky, The Wrestler is a non-stop, tear dropping drama that shows us the necessity of some people of feeling loved and useful at certain age. The plot is really interesting, raw and very real, although it has a slow rhythm it never turns tiresome to the viewer, in fact as th…

Rourke is in discussions to play a villain described as Tony Stark's Russian alter ego, a heavily tattooed bruiser who is in the arms trade and battles Iron Man in his own nuclear-powered armored suit.

Ok let's get one thing straight right off the bat before I begin the review proper, I am a huge wrestling fan and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I freaking love pro-wrestling. So when I first heard about this movie I immediately thought of the horrors of past wrestling movies, most of them staring Hulk Hogan, and thought that no way this film could be good.
Then I heard that Mickey Rourke was going to play the lead. I started to become more interested in this movie as I followed the news through…

Hello All
Here is the trailer for Darren Aronofsky latest The Wrestler starring Mickey Rourke. The film follow the life of a former superstar in the wrestling world who twenty years later ekes out a living by working odd jobs during the day and wrestle in high school gyms during the night and wishing he could get another shot at the limelight.
I was not the greatest fan of The Fountain but this does look great and Rourke does seem to be acting his heart out.
Anyway check it out…
