Rating-Matinee' Now this movie might sound like the stupidest movie in the world when you hear its story: Abraham Lincoln basically grabs an axe and decides to go out and kill vampires. But believe me when I say that once you get past its stupid premise, the movie becomes so much fun.…
Rating-Full Price!! Casino is one of Martin Scorsese's best films. It stars Robert De Niro as an owner of a casino in Las Vegas with heavy ties to the mob and how his empire crumbles right before his eyes.
It is a truly remarkable story that will grab you and keep you attention fixated on…
For the last few days, a rumor has been floating around that 'The Expendables 2' would be downgrading from the R-rating of the first film to a softer PG-13. Furthermore, the cause of this change in rating was rumored to…
On Saturday, I had the honor of attending an advanced screening of Mr. Popper's Penguins. Now I have never read the book in my life, but I am aware that the film is an extremely loose, contemporary adaptation with a setting in the present day rather than the 1930s in the book. So if you're a die-hard fan of…
If you don't know me, I'm new to this site. One thing that I may do here is review movies based on how I thought of them. To make this work, I may need a rating system, which I'll be doing here. It's a 0 to 10 scale essentially.
10. Raise the Horns: This means that the film is just perfect, a cinematic masterpiece designated so by the way metalheads show love for their favorite stuff. Examples are District 9, The Dark Knight, and Toy Story 3.
A lot of people have complained about the new "Terminator" film receiving a PG-13 rating . . .
I just saw "Angels and Demons" today, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, as much as I can enjoy an implausible summer thriller (helicopter priests!!). But, what struck me about AND was the level on onscreen violence. I found it pretty graphic. Not to spoil too much here, but we see: two people graphically burned alive, a dead body with dirt shoved down it's throat, a bloody eye-ball lying on the… Continue

I just got to see an advanced screening of the new Seth Rogen comedy Observe and Report on Monday courtesy of Spill.com's generous givaway. And I have one thing to say; Watchmen has nothing on this movie when it comes to penis. I'll get to that later though, let's start out with a summary of the plot.
Seth Rogen plays a Head of Mall Security named Ronnie… Continue
This video made me laugh all the way through, nothing like speeding up your voice and wearing an elephant mask while performing ninja moves on a doll. Thats classy.
Also, he basically said in lesser words what I thought about the Watchmen. I read the Novel and thought it was really wonderful, the story was as rich as its characters. The movie obviously couldn't convey all of it, how could it, but it got the major points… Continue

If any of you read the reviews I put out in this site, and my movie blog The Cinemonger, you know that I've been using a standard 10-point ratings system on movies. But lately I figured that it might help to have a more unique rating. So I played around with some stuff and came of my these new system. Instead of points, I'll be using something I like to call "Anarchy Coins". And I want to give credit to… Continue
Well those of us who have seen it multiple times are well aware that this is indeed the case (with the possible exception of Seven Samurai and The Godfather IMHO), it now seems that everyone else also thinks THE DARK KNIGHT is possibly the greatest film to have ever been made.
So as many have heard Australia is well known for banning games left and right. Games such as GTA and Jericho have never even touched the shelves. The reason being that the games do not follow the guidelines of their video game rating system. Their system consists of:
G - basically E for us
PG - E10
M - Teen
M+15 - Mature 15 up
Now the wave of banning may stop with a decision of the government on… Continue
