SOMETHING NEW (HIMYM Season 8 Finale e-Review)

(How I Met Your Mother Season 8 Finale)

So this is the biggest episode so far because it finally revealed the Mother. It’s sad that many people got their eight years of waiting ruined because of the stupid posts in the internet. I promise that there will be no spoilers about…

Star Trek: First Contact Review

Rating-(Low)Full Price!!   Star Trek: First Contact's plot is that Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise must stop the Borg from altering history. Now, I'm going to let you know right off the bat that the plot is the weakest part. Despite it being well told, it contains numerous plot holes that are kind of hard not to notice. And yet, that is overshadowed by the great acting, smart dialogue, terrific special effects, and phenomenal action scenes. First Contact…

There are honestly days here at Spill HQ when we seriously consider changing "Movie News" to a more appropriate "What's Getting Remade Today?". Case in point: repeat…

This Just In...."Captain America" and "The Bleeding House"

CAPTAIN AMERICA (DVD)

You're goddamn right I watched it. All of it. My eyes started bleeding. If it wasn't for my pal Henry Jr telling me to look away right before Cap threw his fake looking plastic-ass shield…

This Just In..."The Bang Bang Club" and "The Best and the Brightest"

THE BANG BANG CLUB (Blu-Ray and DVD)

This 2010 Canadian/South African film is unusual in that while it takes place during a well known time of political upheaval (the period of violent unrest in South Africa during the time between…

Transformers: Dark of the Moon Review

I have to say that I've never had a viewing experience quite like seeing the Transformers trilogy unfold before my eyes. Four years ago, I saw a teaser for a movie that seemed to look like a big space movie about astronauts on Mars but then I saw that it was for Transformers. I immediately scratched my head but unlike most film fans out there, when "A Michael Bay Film" appeared underneath, I quickly switched my judgment about the movie and got curiosity and excitement…

Leon Reviews "HOODWINKED!" Blu-ray/ DVD Combo

It’s not hard to figure out why you might’ve passed on watching HOODWINKED! when it was first released in theaters or later on DVD. It’s a 3D animated movie that wasn’t produced by either Pixar or Dreamworks…or Fox…or Sony…or Warner Bros…or even Rankin/Bass , for that matter.

And the premise? : “An updated re-telling of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood.”

*sigh*…

'Insidious' Trailer Released

Source: THR

Sporting some serious "modern horror" (and we use that term loosely) credentials behind it, the full trailer for FilmDistrict's 'Insidious' has been released and it has a decidedly "Poltergeist meets Amityville Horror" look to it. Directed by "the…

Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore: Nothing memorable about this movie

Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore is the sequel of 2001 Cats and Dogs, it tells the story of Kitty Galore, formerly an agent for cat spy organization MEOWS, has gone rogue and hatched a diabolical plan to not only bring her canine enemies to heel, but take down her former kitty comrades and make the world her scratching post. Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions review...

Spider-man/Peter Parker is my favorite superhero of all time. So anything that's usually associated with the web-head being announced (barring the terrible decision regarding "Brand New Day"), I look for more information like a blood hound. As you can probably imagine, as soon as I heard another Spidey game was being crafted for the next-gen systems that wasn't based on the movies, I was frothing at the mouth for any bit of news on the… Continue

R.I.P. Patrick Swayze

"Patrick Swayze, who had breakout roles in "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost," died in Los Angeles Monday of pancreatic cancer. He was 57."

From Variety. This just blows my mind, in a way. I knew that his condition was quite critical and the cancer was always winning, but it still saddens me. Rest in peace, celebrity, ICON, Patrick Swayze.

Comic-con - The Collector interview

For having such demented minds you couldn't meet more friendly and down to earth guys. Director Marcus Dunstan and writer Patrick Melton, the scribes behind Saw IV, V, VI, invite me to their hotel room, abandon me, and leave me to fight my way out through numerous gruesome traps. Only that didn't happen, although I wouldn't put past them to write and direct a movie about it someday. In reality, however, the only thing they tried to trap me with was chicken wings they ordered from room service.… Continue

And 'The Flash' Might Be… Neil Patrick Harris?

Photobucket

Ready for a wild rumor? How about Neil Patrick Harris being pursued to play DC comic book superhero The Flash? The last we had heard, Ryan Reynolds was in the running (get it?) for the role, but with the upcoming Wolverine movie it seems like his superhero destiny may be tied up as Deadpool.

But this, if true, is pretty much out of… Continue
