This came off of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Blu-Ray and DVD. It's sort of a behind the scenes look and mini-trailer all in one. The films look promising so far. It also confirms that there will be two parts. The small teaser trailer itself starts at 0:54 seconds. Enjoy!

Ok its been a good while since a blog about watching Harry Potter simultaneously but I've been busy with other things but now I'm back and just in time in the coincidence of the Harry Potter Ultimate Edition DVDs of Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets and the first time release of Half Blood Prince.
This time I will show certain coincidences or similarities in storytelling structures in watching Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire.

With one of my favorite series getting a sequel soon, Toy Story 3, I have been thinking of movies that I would love to see made. Some of these movies are sequels, with the first not really lending to a sequel, but I would very much like to see more of the story developed. I tried to think of movies that aren't in development, or even talked about, but movies I would just personally like to see.
A couple of these films are sequels, while most of these films are based off other things.

I previously compared and discussed the beginnings of both of these mayor animation companies, comparing and contrasting their initial works. Antz for DreamWorks and Toy Story/Bug's Life for Pixar. It seemed to be obvious that Pixar was way ahead of the game, mostly because the committed to telling a story, while DreamWorks opted for reaching new technical achievements.
It was then that DreamWorks decided to create an original story, which took elements from various fairy tales. This film was k… Continue
As time goes on, it naturally become harder and harder to keep up with the vast library of fantastic movies there are out there. Just finishing Monster's Ball (With Billy Bob Thornton, Halle Berry and of course, Heath Ledger) and I felt the need to make of list of movies that might be fairly know, but never talked about.

And now for part two of my retrospective. Last time we covered my Top 16.
I decided I'll extend that to a top 20, but that'll be part of part three. But for now, here are my thoughts on some other cinema-related subjects:

(Note: Just to reiterate, this is just a rant, there are no flashy pictures or anything to hold your interests, I just had to say what I had to say as a movie watcher.)
What do I have to say about a genre I have all but given up watching movies from? The horror movie has been stripped of it's name, I am personally in favor of renaming it "bloody pulp" or "gibs galore". Where is the horror anymore? What kind of movie watching society have we devolved into that all we want in a "scary" movie are… Continue
Some guys on Youtube decided to join forces and make an awesome Fan-film using real Marvel movies, to make The Avenger Movie. Most likely the closest thing we'll get till(And it will happen Loen) the real movie comes out.
Here's the poster
BOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is what I shouted after seeing this film. This is not only one of the worst Bond films, it makes even Bond weep. My first problem is the fact that there is a new Bond!!!!!!!!!!!! This film was to congratulate Bond, not toss him aside like a pet. But at the opening. First we see Bond jumping of a large dam only to find out that he somehow lands in a building right next to the dam. So with some ass kicking he makes it out to another building and meets 006. They talk and it is… Continue

Last Tuesday marked the release of the special 2-disc extended edition of Waterworld. Even seeing this movie as a child, I knew it sucked hard. Even worse, the so-called extended edition is rumored to be the TV edited version that was broadcasted on ABC. Okay, you'd have to be REALLY into Waterworld to want that on DVD.
So if a movie like Waterworld can get a special edition, what other cr… Continue
I love the Friday the 13th films to an almost psychotic degree but even I will admit that most of them are not good films. Fun films to be sure, but not good films. I’m not entirely sure exactly why I like them so much, there’s just something about the silent, plodding killer that I love so much. That and the sheer stupidity of the characters he kills. Perhaps my favourite example of this is in one of the earlier films. I’m not exactly sure which but I think it might be number two.
Whatever fil… Continue
I'll keep this short and sweet:
In honor of the recent (and rather ambiguous) announcement made by Chris Nolan regarding a third Batman movie, let's have a little fun and see if we can't indeed think of some good Part III's with which to inspire him. Jog your memories, raid your obsolete VHS collection, your Flixters, your Imdbs and your Rottentomatoes accounts. What are your favorite cinematic part 3's?
Here are some suggestions to get the ball rolling:
The Bourne Ultimatum
Rocky III

Well, SPILL intern Jared posted a blog offering some ideas for translating Batman villains realistically into film, should Christopher Nolan make another Batman sequel (remember guys, he hasn't said for sure that he's even doing another one). It was a pretty cool list, I just thought it could use a few more entries. So here is my continuation of Jared's Bat-villian list:

Talia Al Ghul
Alias: Daughter of the Demon
First Appearance: Detective Comics #411 (1971)
Origin: Talia's origin has never been all too important to her vital role in the Batman mythos. What's important is that she's Ra's Al Ghul's daughter,… Continue

Two of my favorite actors are in this movie. (Steve Carell and Dwayne Johnson) I'm wondering how Anne Hathaway is going to be in this film. I didn't watch the series, but my dad did, and he thinks that Steve Carell is perfect for the role. I, personally, think t… Continue
I was going to get to this earlier... like in December 2007... but I didn't have enough time until now. So the following movies are gonna be movies that come out after May 22.

Posted here so you can have the more in depth list. Or if you couldn't understand me.
Gear and Equipment
Of course G and E will vary depending on your location, the climate, and zombie population. Also some of the items will have a symbol representing if they are needed, or if one is just needed. Also there is a chance you may travel in groups. The smart thing to do is have everyone trained to do anything (so-to-speak) and have the person who is best at a role to travel with that role. A perso… Continue

This is for Spillers who like going out regularly like myself. From now on I will regularly organize nights out with other Spillers and we'll do a pub crawl, go bar hopping or go out clubbing. These are not Spill Parties. These are Spill Outs
