Top 5 Movies from 10 Years Ago That Need Reboots

I've heard a lot of people complaining about remakes these days, and this year especially with the reboot of Spider-Man. Personally, The Amazing Spider-Man is one of my most anticipated movies of this summer. My philosophy is that there's no such thing as a bad idea, only a bad movie. And maybe it will be a bad movie, but that's no reason to bash it for existing. Just don't give it money!

But I digress. With the new Spider-Man movie coming out, and having just watched and reviewed

21 Jump Street Review

This movie is the exact definition of a double negative! Phil Lord and Chris Miller's last film was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, an animated kids' film that turned out surprisingly well (supposedly a lot better than what the title implies). Jonah Hill and Channing…

PCP (Pop Culture Podcast) Episode 040: South Park

We've longed teased that we'd eventually have a musical episode of PCP. But, little did we know that this would be that episode (though not in proper). Look, you've seen the show, the movie, can still sing the songs and you're still sore from when your parent beat you for watching it. Consider this an episode of nostalgia with friends making references to some of your favorite episodes of a venerable series. No PSAs this time but, there is the… Continue

South Park & Cynicism

I wanted to briefly (or as briefly as I can) talk about the most recent episode of South Park. I know that a lot of people have started falling out of love with South Park. Many have said that the show has become "uninspired" and "is repeating itself". I'm no stranger to this; I've felt that this last season and a half hasn't been that great... and it appears that creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone know this as well.

For those who haven't…

In Memoriam: Pete Postlethwaite, One of the Greatest and One of the Most Underrated Actors Ever

Wow! Just wow! I simply can not believe it when I try to process the thought in my brain that Pete Postlethwaite, one of the greatest, most memorable, most recognizable, and most revered and respected actors who has ever worked in Hollywood has just left us for what could be a greater beyond. Of course, when I write a blog…

Zeek Slider and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Since everyone this past weekend (and for the rest of the week) has been talking about the latest Harry Potter movie, I thought I’d share with you, my readers, a different kind of Harry Potter review. What kind of Harry Potter review? Well, if you can’t figure it out by now, I’ll be telling you about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

For those of you who have been living under a rock, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (WWHP) is an area in… Continue

Disney's World of Color TRONcore

Over in Disneyland's California Adventure, there's a little water show called World of Color. It's half-hour show displaying (what else?) the colorful worlds of the various Disney films through cutting-edge laser projections and computerized fountain jets. The show made its debute at the start of the summer and has been a hit since. It even sparked a new interest in the theatre industry with the execution of the 100-yard long panoramic projection system used in the… Continue

Talking Mickey Testing at Disneyland

So the latest thing to come out of the Disney theme parks is an overhaul of their Character Meet-and-Greets. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is basically a set time when you can get your picture taken with a Disney character. Meet-and-Greet locations are often locked down for a specific character so that you don't have to hunt for them. In this example, Mickey Mouse's Meet-and-Greet spot is always at his house in Toontown.

Normally, these Meet-and-Greets are no… Continue

A letter to the team at South Park and comedy central

Wtf guys! First off I love comedy central and this is not hate mail. But when I read the reason about the bullshit censorship on last week’s episode of South Park I have enraged. That u would let idol threats stop u from broadcasting the full version of your show. And if it was concord as a joke then it way off bases. We need shows like South Park to tear down all the bull shit censorship we have in our country. A country that was funded on the principles of free speech. One of the only place’s… Continue

Against the South Park Censorship

I am very disappointed right now. Disappointed that an American network, who has never hesitated to make fun of anyone in the world (including their own President) was willing to back down to a threat from a relatively unknown source. There was an assault on freedom of speech last night, and the only way to confront it is to loudly talk about it.

On April 21, 2010, South Park celebrated its 201st episode with the episode "201" to conclude the previous week story arc of…

Disney Introduces Easter (and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit) to Japan

One of the strangest stories I discovered, which may or may not be true, is that Japan didn’t know about the commercial version of Halloween until Disney introduced the concept to them via their theme park in Tokyo.

Apparently, history is repeating itself, as Disney is introducing an Easter event in their Tokyo property for the first time. Video below.…

Top Ten Deaths

There's not much of a backstory to how I came to thinking about this. I just started thinking about what really can make a movie. And one thing that came up was an awesome death. Some films try to have an epic passing away, but only so many films have a death that is so memorable that it's an icon for years.

But I'm not writing about the best deaths in cinema. These are just my own personal favorites. So don't say I forgot one, but feel free to share your own. And obviously there are huge… Continue

A little rant on the AVATAR hate

Let me being by saying that I don't think that everyone should like this movie. I know we all have our opinions, and it's all right to have them, but most of the negative criticism I hear from people about this movie is really annoying me. The complaints I'm hearing are about as unoriginal as they're claiming the movie to be. That complaint being "Avatar is just Dances With Wolves with blue people." Now how did you come up with that? Did you see Avatar and think, "This seems a lot like…

"Captain EO Tribute" Opens at Disneyland

When it was announced that the Captain EO Tribute would finally open today, both Disneyland fans and Michael Jackson fans started to froth at the mouth. Okay, maybe not literally, but I could imagine it.

The press even reported that Disneyland was preparing itself for the onslaught of fans from both demographics. The line would officially start at 6 AM, which when that hour rolled around, 50 people were already in line with their Annual Passes and wallets at the… Continue

Marvel Heroes are causing a super headache for Disney

Hey, comic nerds! Still upset with Disney buying Marvel? Guess what! So is Disney now!

Some secret details of the Marvel contract with Universal/NBC have surfaced, and they're getting Disney in trouble with antitrust regulators. Basically, Marvel’s contract allowed the company to bug Universal for royalties whenever one of their characters appeared in a Universal theme park. If Universal doesn’t pay the correct percentage, then Marvel could audit Universal’s books so they… Continue

DAY BREAKERS: By Thadeus Brown

I was pretty pumped for this movie, specially after I saw the first trailer for it about 4 months ago. it had Ethan Hawke, Sam Neil witch is Mr. Allen Grant from Jurrasic Park, William Dafoe, and on top of that the trailer looked bad ass. Leading up to the hours of the movie, I was getting more exited about it. Day Breakers is even number 9 on my most anticipated movie of 2010. after seeing the movie did Day Breakers live up to my… Continue
