The Curious Case of Benjamin Button(Text Review, By Chris)

We were originally going to do a full review for this movie, but it'll be too much for us since we're working on the best of '08. I have to say before this was getting positive reviews and Oscar talk, I thought this film looked completely stupid. I mean just look at the teaser. It virtually gives us no info and that's the only trailer I saw before I saw the TV ads. This movie only started appealing to me after the TV ads, Oscar talk, positive reviews,… Continue

Warner pushes "The Dark Knight" for your consideration

Having the Oscar season officially started, Warner has begun with the promotion of "The Dark Knight" for the next Oscars, for Best Picture (with producers Christopher Nolan, Charles Roven and Emma Thomas) and Best Supporting Actor for Heath Ledger.

The score of the film, which was also proposed for the Academy Awards, has already been disqualified under the problem of having "too many composers credited" -or so the Academy would like us to think- now Warner is going into… Continue

The Dark Knight Disqualified from Musical Score

Rte reports Dark Knight score is out of the Oscars. The score for 'The Dark Knight' will not be considered for an Oscar as it has been disqualified by the executive committee of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Variety says that formal letters confirming the disqualification will be sent to composers Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard, who worked on the music. The trade daily says the issue was that five names were listed as composers on the music cue sheet, the official… Continue

Dark Knight getting a re-release

You heard me right folks, The Dark Knight is getting a re-release. Go ahead. Cheer. Jump up and down. Do a little dance if you feel the need. No one will judge you.

Warner Bros. has announced a January release for the box office amazement, in order to generate Oscar buzz.

As if they needed the extra buzz. But hey, if it helps earn the Oscar(s) I feel it deserves, by all means!

Currently, TDK has rung up approx. 512 million dollars, just behind Titanic's box… Continue

Leon's Best of 2007 (finally!)

Now that we're already 1/4 into 2008 and the Oscars are over it seemed to me that MY picks for the Best of 2007 were quite irrelevant.

...BUT I'll be damned if I don't get a request for it everyday! So, I guess I have to defer to 'the mighty O'Jays' who sang, "You gotta give people what they want." Without further ado (and for anybody who still cares) here's my personal picks for the best movies of 2007:

#10. THERE… Continue

My thoguhts concerning the oscars

Well, I'm back! I was gobe for a while and wasn't able to blog or anything, but I'm back now. And just in time too. I can see it is Oscar Frenzy here at Spill.com. I see Korey owes the gang a lot of money since he made a few bad predictions. I made quite a few mistakes myself. I mean GOLDEN COMPASS FOR BEST VISUAL EFFECTS?! Come on! Korey's right, those F*cking polar bears look fake as hell. How could transformers not win?!?!

Anyways, other than that, I really enjoyed the oscars this… Continue

If Ellen Page does not win.... There will be a RECKONING!

So who else is ready for the Oscars Tonight?

I think the biggest jolt is to see how the actors will be acting post writers strike.... (after all, its the actors and directors turn now)

And to see what Jon Stewart and his army of writers were able to come up with in 2 weeks from end of strike to awards show.

Of course if anyone really believes that the writers were not writing during the strike, I have a bridge to sell ya!

Let's be honest, it was there… Continue
