Hey guys,
After listening to your take on this recent cultural phenomenon, I think some clarification is in order. As one of the members that wrote a blog about the Twilight craziness, it feels to me like you're missing the point that a lot of us have been making. Truth is that we're not very fond of the people that simply hate something because of its popularity either. If you're like me, then your hatreds need justifications. And I may be speaking only for myself, but I've got some to spare..… Continue
As a movie viewer (and now reviewer), I try to watch a little bit of everything. Good movies, bad movies, and all the movies imbetween. Which leads me to the movie I've recently seen -- Twilight Saga: New Moon. Instead of just saying "Fuck this movie and the sparkling vampires in it!", lets take a look at the movie because I just know you're dying to get the details.
This is the second installment of what will become a four movie saga. Here we find Bella Swan(Kristen Ste… Continue

Ok so for the three people who read my blog you'll remember that when Twilight first came out at the movies it was like this rabid frenzy at my video store, every time I worked I had some 12 year old girl begging to hire the movie, before it had even left the cinemas yet!!!
Thankfully twi-mania calmed down a hell of a lot once the damn movie went into our recent release section, I was no longer bombarded with images of a pale sickly Eddie Cullen and sour looking Bella Swan. It was bliss. But oh… Continue
Everyone knows about all the hype and the story.
New Moon is a sequel to the movie Twilight from last year at the same time, based on a popular book series by Stephenie Meyer.
When the first book came out, i read it in middle school. And I used to like it a lot. Then i grew up and realized what 'selfish bitch' meant and i stopped liking it.
I feel… Continue
I finally manage to watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on DVD because I never had a chance to see it in theaters and I chose Drag Me To Hell (which is a good choice). Yet as a Harry Potter fan (for 8 years and counting), I was still happy with the adaptation of the sixth book. Knowing that there won't be a total faithful Potter book, at least the producers and filmmakers made the film series with great respect and dignity. It had me thinking about what is… Continue
This issue was honestly behind me, but then I re-visited the movie (thanks Rifftrax, some movies DO have it comin’…) and with the release of the second film installment upon us (in much the same way that H1N1 is "upon us") it brought back all of the thoughts that plagued me before. I am not a fan of this franchise, and there's no way anyone could mistake me for one especially if you’ve talked to me or read my review of the first movie. But there are a few things that generally irk the shit out o… Continue
Alright look, I did not become a fan of Michael Jackson until after he died. I am not ashamed to admit that. This is a classic case of long time fans thinking that new fans are posers, in a nutshell. The fact of the matter is, when MJ was alive, all I ever saw of him was negative. My mind was ingrained with this idea that he was some kind of mentally unstable, pedophilic freak. At that point in my life, I didn't have much interest in listening to the music of someone whom I thought was a pedophi… Continue

Introduction to the New World Order - Something everyone needs to be aware of! What is the New World Order (NWO)?
New World Order 101

I said a few posts ago, that my sole reason for loving every Saw film was not because they were good, or intelligent, or at times made any sense, but because of the 80's horror cheese feeling that I get every time I watch one.
This film is both.
Saw VI is the directorial debu… Continue

The fall TV season is always jam packed with new series and shows coming in for another season. With all the madness, a couple of shows are sure to get axed, but these are the three shows that I'll be supporting.
How I Met Your Mother (Season 5)
"How I Met Your Mother" is a series that I didn't catch until this sum… Continue
Well, let's face it. All but one of the Harry Potter books have been adapted into films by this point, and there are two films left to be released. So, I'm certain that all of the big movie studios are going to be scrambling to find the next big Novel-Gone-Film franchise.
Twilight is considered the next Harry Potter (Despite my cries of anger), but let's face it; with how quickly Summit Entertainment is shoving these things out, it'll be over before Harry Potter is. I mean, they haven't green l… Continue
The short answer is: YES! Having said that, there are a few exceptions. I saw the trailer for the Coen brothers new film “A Serious Man” in the theater recently and it was so convoluted, I couldn’t figure out what the hell it was about. For the most part, however, I have come to the conclusion that most trailers give away too much of the films. “The Hangover” is just one of many movies that revealed its best joke/jokes in the trailer. How many times have you seen a film where you’ve already seen… Continue

Copied from the good people at Yahoo Movies
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The Hollywood studio behind a film based on "The Hobbit" and trustees for author J.R.R. Tolkien's estate said on Tuesday they had settled a lawsuit that clears the way for what is expected to be a blockbuster movie based on the book.
"The Hobbit" is a 1937 book by Tolkien about a diminutive character named Bilbo Baggins who goes on a treasure-seeking adventure, and it sets the stage for Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" trilog… Continue

As a few of you know, a while back, I made a group called "The Official Spill Fan Art Group", after listening to LDT!!!, and hearing them say that they needed a place to put the fan art.
Well, it's been a mess. I was just posting any fan art that was placed in the group into the text box, and it was a pain to go through it all.
So, I finally decided to give it a long overdue update, by going through and categorizing the art by who's in it. Click the links below to be taken to those discussions… Continue
