One of the first things my managers do is check the answer machine in their office. They do this to get any important messages from movie studios, corporate, and even employees who call out sick. Yesterday, we got a five-minute message from a guest complaining about another guest in her screening of Precious.
A five-minute long message!! And what was the complaint? It was about another guest bringing in a three-year-old to the movie.
Now, I know the person this guest was complaining abo… Continue
I finally manage to watch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on DVD because I never had a chance to see it in theaters and I chose Drag Me To Hell (which is a good choice). Yet as a Harry Potter fan (for 8 years and counting), I was still happy with the adaptation of the sixth book. Knowing that there won't be a total faithful Potter book, at least the producers and filmmakers made the film series with great respect and dignity. It had me thinking about what is… Continue
Sorry if this has already been done.
I have been franticly searching for info about movies based on video games that have been either rumored or confirmed. I have heard a lot of them, Dead Space, Bioshock, Tekken, Gears of War, Halo, obviously Prince of Persia, and God of War. GOW from what I heard is going to suck mostly due to a changed ending. But that’s neither here nor there. This is a list in hopes of sniffing out all the video games that have big screen possibilities.
I would first star… Continue
And because some one is sure to doubt me, here's my ticket stub
For those of you doubting my opinion, saying that I'm wrong or that I suck, just wait until the Spill crew reviews it. I know they disliked it as well, but are embargoed about talking about it. They had a pre… Continue
With all this talk about Black Friday on the news and how Wal-Mart is going to try to prevent its yearly death knell (good luck, I say), a co-worker of mine was asking me the other day about Black Friday at the movies. I gave him the basic rundown on what usually happens. It’s not as bad as you would think. The day after Christmas, however, is a different story.
Then, out of nowhere, he aske… Continue
This is something from my blog. On my blog it will have trailers and stuff, I just dont feel like putting them in here.
I guess I should cover some scary movies that you might want to check out. Maybe lets not so much do the typical stuff like The Ring. So once again Ill do 2 lists. The first being scary/horrifying movies and the second will be horror/halloween themed without really bein… Continue

Whilst Tomas is battling the clock to put an episode done in one take within 10min, he also takes a look at movies where the main protagonists are running against the clock. Featuring Breakdown, Out Of Time and Die Hard With A Vengeance…tick, tick, tick, tick….

I was going through some old DVD collection, and I stumbled into a little movie. The movie is a very famous movie from India and other southeastern Asia. If you ask any mid-twenties Indian or anyone from India which movie is the best movie, the most repeated answer would be SHOLAY, from 1975, (Amber in eng translation). The movie is a "curry" western, (kinda like "sphagetti western") and is a pretty good movie. Few of its dialogue may sound like a platitude, and that is because it has been copie… Continue

FINALLY the first part of "The Art of 1,001 Movie You Must See Before You Die" which features the lovely PodbayDoor (aka Noa from Amsterdam Spill Party) and Miss Mam'selle Hepzibah as they go through the silent era and the early days of talkies. Films like The Birth Of A Nation and The Jazz Singer has downright racist images a… Continue
So my favorite time of the year is coming up….Halloween. I love Halloween. Halloween always brings out the most strange, horrific side of me. Halloween just has so much to offer whether it is dressing up in costume, trick ‘r treating, having a good scare, or watching tons and tons of horror movies. It seems like every year I’m always making a list of horror movies to watch. In a way it has become some what a tradition for me. But I also got to thinking way not show my list to everyone else so ma… Continue

Ok I'm about to do some very ambitious I mean this is Let's Do This the game AMBITIOUS! I did some artwork in the past but I'm going to do 1001 drawings all representing the films that is featured in the famous book:
So this one guy comes in to watch the first show of Capitalism. Pretty normal stuff. Several hours later, he comes out follows by one of our more competent ushers. He then walks over to the manager on duty and begins talking. I eye the usher over to ask him what was going on, but I guess the question was in my glance. He immediately told me what happened.
Apparently, this guy thought that he could get away with theatre hopping because of what was said in Michael Moore’s film about… Continue
So before I start I'm going to just get some things straight. I know very little about film, my reviews are based on what I see and what I like and nothing else. My rating system is based off of what I perceive; as a disclaimer *and anyone who has known me long or well enough will agree to this* take whatever I say with a whole bloody shaker of salt. Now that that's done, ZOMBIELAND!
Okay so I'm going to start with the first 10 minutes of the movie and my experiences and go from there.
"cool,… Continue
