I know many will say NO ONE CAN REPLACE HEATH LEDGER, He was the perfect Joker. Sure he played the role amazing BUT I think a lot of credit must be given to the writers for creating such an amazing part for Ledger to play and with that said The Joker is just as big to the world of Batman as Batman himself is t… Continue
Let's take a step back a year to that little film released called The Dark Knight (don't worry if you havent seen it...it's pretty crappy :P.) At the start of the film there was quite an intense bank robbery, masks, gun shots, some safe cracking, more gun shots..the works. And when we finally saw the scene, many compared it to Michael Mann's Heat, saying that Christopher Nolan payed "homage" to this classic film. But then let's take a look in a more....shitty direction. I'm sure everyones eyebal… Continue

There are a lot of elements that go into making a movie: writing, directing, cinematography, acting, costumes, special effects, locations, editing, etc. But what I feel is one of the most overlooked, and sometimes lacking, elements of a movie is the score. Sometimes the score is upstaged or even drowned out by popular songs inserted into the soundtrack. Take Watchman, for example, a film which had about forty minutes of composed music that never made it into the film, no doubt making room for ro… Continue

El Loco Lobo's Videogame Review-O
How many of us are old enough (albeit unfortunate enough) to remember playing the movie-based superhero movies of the Super Nintendo? I recall my first Batman game, and possibly my first superhero game ever, to be the video game adaption of Batman Returns.
Jilted slightly by the side-scroller as I could never find a way out of various linear, forward-marching levels, I stayed out of the batman franchise for quite awhile until eventually rent… Continue

For the past two decades, Batman's media presence has been painted with a dark coat of seriousness. From Burton's Batman, to Bruce Timm's animated Batman, to Nolan's Dark Knight, every single interpretation since 1989 portrays him as the most serious DC superhero. It's almost as if the franchise is trying to makeup for Adam West's Batman. But now the time is right for a… Continue

Today we're reviewing:
"Batman: Arkham Asylum"
O_O
Oh God this game has it all!! Sex, blow, million dollar hookers, and stolen children's candy.
Ok.. This game has none of that but still its awesome!!
Story: The Batman fresh from catching his archenemy the Joker, rushes him back to Arkham Asylum. After sensing something is fishy because he felt he "gave up almost without a fight", Batman decides to escort him as far i… Continue
We all (fans and critics) loved Batman Begins, but some hated Christian Bale's "Batman Voice." With the explosive release of The Dark Knight, folks asked again. What's with the voice?
Christian Bale portrays Bruce Wayne and his aggressive vigilante alter-ego Batman in the two… Continue

Hey Guys! I just got a new HDTV LCD set and I decided to take it upon myself to recommend some Blu-rays! These are films that I own on Blu-ray or have seen in person and they all tend to blow me away with the quality. So check em out!
Blade Runner (1982)
For this film being nearly 20 years old, you can tell that Ridley Scott put his bloo… Continue

Let me just start off saying i loved the first MUA. The character roster was diverse and satisfying , the story was interesting and all characters multiple cool moves (about 10 per character) and 4 costumes.
Now we come to MUA2 (set during Civil War). I was really looking foreword to this but the more I find out about it, the more I start to doubt. Lets start off with the roster.
Presently all but 2 characters have been revealed and its looking, well a little odd...by odd I mean bad.
Her… Continue
Yup, thats right it has been one whole year since The Dark Knight came out. I want every fan of this movie to go out and party, and watch The Dark Knight...a lot.
I was able to hold myself not to watch The Dark Knight, for almot a whole year(I watched it 5 times in theaters, and once when it came out on DVD), and it was killing me. You have know idea how many days I'd be sitting there, and there it was my copy of The Dark Knight sitting in front of me saying "Watch me, watch me, FUCKING WATCH M… Continue

*Remember, these are my opinions on the movie, not reality changing facts. Although these movies probably do have positives about them, I will not be addressing them, this is about there overlooked flaws. SPOILERS!!!*
On this edition of Overrated Movie Theater, I am taking a look at a film the has been called the masterpiece of comic book movies. Gaining prestige critically and financially, The Dark Knight has been called a dark analysis of disorder and chaos as well as an allegor… Continue
With The Dark Knight showing that superhero movies can surpass their roots and deal with subjects in a mature manner, I thought: "What would it take for video game movies to be taken as seriously?"
I figured I'd give the outline a shot to one of the most mindless series… Continue
The title just says it all. These are movies I believe, be they good or bad, that are overrated. Everyone who reads this should know that I only hate two of these films, so it is not a hate rant, as much as it may sound. Of course this is nothing but my opinion, so just remember this is my list not yours. I can deal with critism, but not hate mail.
I hope you guys like my second list.

Something that's been bothering me in the field of entertainment for quite some time now's that anything that doesn't debut in theaters or television is never given any shot at award recognition. So much fantastic effort is out there, waiting to be praised, but unfortunately has a tendency be overlooked because of their brief running time of ten minutes or less. But when you think about it, your web videos and full-length feature films have alot in common. In fact, I was stunned how eligible man… Continue
This week, it's time to get out the robots and for some flagrant self-promotion. And, I suppose, there's something of a slight unintentional theme going due to the random video pick of the week actually having something loosely to do with the new-movie-of-the-week pick.
first up, movie clip:
Guns 'N' Roses music video for "You Could Be Mine" from the glory days of Terminator 2: Judgment Day (get up and kick bleepin ass during this!)
random clip:
This is a video that I work… Continue

How many graphic novels can you name that would count as literature? There's Watchmen, naturally. And Maus, you can't forget that one! Oh, and The Dark Knight Returns... and eh... Persepolis... that would count too... hmmm. The high art of graphic novels sort of stops a… Continue

What I was wondering is is it worth the extra money for the badges? I am a big Star Trek fan, and getting bigger the more I watch. Has anyone else bought this version and how good are the badges? Are they good replicas, or really cheap plastic?
