It’s been a busy week for superhero news, so let’s start off with the a bombshell:

Sir Ian Mckellen will NOT be reprising his near iconic role as Eric Lensherr/Magneto in the perennially developing…

The Informant! is a comedy based on a very true story of Mark Whitacre (Matt Damon), upper management employee of lysine devoloping company ADM in the 90s, who decides to become a spy for the FBI, informing them on the price-fixing going on at his company for years.
Directed by Stephen Soderbergh, this movie is genius in the way that it can be extremely funny while showing nothing but co…

I can’t think of many films that have actually made feel physically ill. I can watch the most horrific scenes of gore-laden violence and not feel sick. There are times however that something pushes me over the edge and makes me feel a little bit woozy. One scene that sticks out in particular is the scene in The Fly when Jeff Goldblum is pulling out his finger nails. There, I just dry heaved whilst thinking and writing about it. Thankfully it’s just one scene. The problem is, you see, I have a ma…

The Sixth Sense Review
Rotten Tomatoes rating: 85%
My rating: Full Price!!

This is another M. Night Shyamalan film, and another film you have to be careful not to spoil, although the very action of reviewing this is fairly useless as you’ve either seen it or are about to come across it. For those who haven’t seen it, run out there and watch it before some dick spoils it for you.
So on to looking at this thing…

-Meeting Joel Hodgson, Frank Conniff, and Mary Jo Pehl as well as getting them to sign my copy of MST3K The Essentials DVD. Call me a geek, but it felt unbelievably awesome to shake Joel Hodgson's hand.
-Watching Frank Conniff dive face first into a parfait.
-Listening to Dwayne McDuffie (producer and writer on Static Shock and Justice League animated series) give commentary and answer questions. You wouldn't know it from the way he talks, but he was very funny. He also may have made a slight…

Like most people out there who have seen Manos: The Hands of Fate (Translation: Hands: The Hands of Fate) I became aware of it through Mystery Science Theater 3000. The episode is held in high regard amongst the shows fans and rightly so. It is, after all, awesome. Some of my favourite riffs I heard in the shows history come from this episode, as do some of my favourite segments. Such a thing is only possible with the just the right film, and Manos is just such a film.
Every frame is such exqui…

With the new Batman movie: The Dark Knight coming out soon, its time for me to look back on the past Batman movies starting from the campy years of 1966 to the modern era in 2005. As close as it is, Batman is my second favorite superhero with just being close to Spider-Man. Batman has been through many changes and transformations in the film media for the best and for the worst. So without further ado, here is my view on the last Batman movies, leading up to The Dark Knight.
BATMAN FOREVER(199…
