Django Unchained Review

Rating-Full Price!!   Quentin Tarantino is back with his kick ass new film, a spaghetti western called Django Unchained.  Containing a great story, terrific performances, good dialogue, and brilliant pacing, Django is Tarantino's best film since Pulp Fiction, and that is really saying something.   The story of Django Unchained is that a black slave turned bounty hunter named Django is going after a plantation owner that has his wife. The story is told in a great…

THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: THE SECRET OF THE UNICORN review

After years of development, HERGE's classic comic book series has finally made it to the big screen. And I'm happy to tell you that it is one of the best films of the year.

The basic story is as follows: a young reporter Tintin (JAMIE BELL) comes across a model ship at a market and, after…

This Just In..."The Big Lebowski" and "Outcasts"

THE BIG LEBOWSKI (Blu-Ray and DVD)

Even as acknowledged in the impressive array of bonus features added to this new limited edition (?) blu-ray of cult fave, "The Big Lebowski", it's not a film that everyone likes the first time. In…

A SUCKER PUNCH is kind of an understatement.

Zack Snyder is an interesting director. I definitely think he's a very talented individual with a very good eye for the craft. 300, WATCHMEN, GUARDIANS and SUCKER PUNCH all have a very unique visual style and are all very well made films. However, SUCKER PUNCH is going to make me question anything he has a part in that involves him putting a pen to paper.

I love the whole idea and concept of SUCKER PUNCH.…

List of actors that might play Spider-Man grows

As you may already know, the list of actors that Sony was considering for the role of Spider-Man included three actors: Jamie Bell, Andrew Garfield, and Josh Hutcherson. However, the list has been expanded to included: Anton Yelchin, Frank Dillane, Alden Ehrenreich, and my personal favorite, Aaron Johnson from Kick-Ass.

Although Anton is a good actor, I would rather see him as Harry Osborn instead of Peter Parker, but i'm fine if he gets the lead for.

As for…

Valentine's Day: Just another forgivable movie

Valentine's Day tells the story of 10 people in Los Angeles whose

lives intersect on the romantic holiday. Valentine's Day is another romantic comedy chick flick with a huge cast full of stars but

with a very poor story or stories in this case an a plot that lacks of

development. It follows the same formula of New York I love you and

Paris Je T'aime but without the same impact. It seems that this movie

has no life, no heart. The cast is wonderful, I can't think of a… Continue

Law Abiding Citizen: A movie worth to watch

Law Abiding Citizen tells the story of an everyday guy decides to take justice into his own hands after a plea bargain sets his family's killers free. His target: The district attorney who orchestrated the deal. It is very interesting but also I think its a little unrealistic. Full of action and adventure, Law Abiding Citizen is a well developed thriller with a fast paced rhythm that will keep you on the edge of your seat for almost two hours and with a completely unexpected ending. The cast is… Continue

The soloist: Touching and heart breaking

The soloist is a movie based on an article written by journalist Steve Lopez about Nathaniel Anthony Ayers, a gifted musical prodigy that lives on the streets of Los Angeles. The story is excellent and the plot is very well developed. I has a high quantity of drama, it is very touching and even heart breaking, the viewer will drop a tear or maybe two. It is a little slow but it never gets tired. It is also a little depressing because it portraits the real life of real homeless people. It has an… Continue

Sorority Row Confessions!

Below you will see confessions by a few of the members of the Theta Pi sorority from the upcoming remake Sorority Row based on the 80's slasher film House on Sorority Row. If not for what they say, it is a pretty good looking cast at least even though it's another remake.

Sorority Row comes out on September 11, 2009 from Summit Entertainment. It stars Jamie Chung, Briana Evigan, Rumer Willis, Audrina Patridge, Leah Pipes, Margo Harshman, Julian Morris, and Carrie… Continue

My Thoughts on the Upcoming Tintin Movie

When I heard that a Tintin movie was in the works, I was ecstatically happy. Tintin is a great comic book series full of action, adventure, great stories and great characters, and it seems like the books could be very easily translated into movies.

For those of you who don't know, the Belgian comic books feature Tintin, a young reporter who travels the world with his dog, Snowy. Along the way, he meets all sorts of crazy characters like Captain Haddock, Dr. Calculus, and Thompson and… Continue
